'Dunkirk Spirit'

Hi Larry

What was so terrifying in James’s pathetic attempt at 'Spamming' this group? There are many ways to deal with such trivial attempts to be a 'Nuisance'. It is almost a moral duty on your part to resist such bullying tactics by a poster on a forum that you moderate [or own]!

Although new here in the short time I have been posting I have had some very positive responses from two members of this group who were in debate with me on a string I started on 'School CP'. A forum such as this should be for ALL to express there views and opinions freely as long as they stay 'On topic' within the forums guidelines. To close this forum at the behest of four delinquent posters is reprehensible, and should not be a consideration.

I for one would fully support you in keeping this group open. May I suggest that any other posters who agree with me on this issue should post even just a short sentence indicating there support. If we allow bullies in society [or on the net] to win then there is really little left of ourselves that we can be proud of.

I intend posting this reply as a New string and hope that others irrespective of previous differences that they may have had with each other as posters will unite to toss this rag-tag gang of four on to what ever dung heap best suits them.

Regards, …. Mike

Dear Mike,

Once again I am greatly indebted to you for your rousing words of support. You are a most highly valued contributor to our forum and I would be honoured if you would consider yourself a member of the clique whose avowed intention it is to uphold the great tradition that has here been established.

And so I say, “Comrades unite!” Let us, like George, proceed ever onward, ever upward, inspired by those gallant chaps who, when the chips were down, stood shoulder to shoulder, soldier to soldier. We must not forget, however, that the colonel slipped and fell on the duckboards, and things were never the same again.

For courage such as theirs we pray that all our lives our actions may still keep the name of William Penn respected, loved, revered.

I cannot guarantee however, that all future messages will stay on-topic.

With best wishes from

Larry

Charge!

Larry:

I will stand back to back with you, just like they did at the Alamo.

Mike:

I think you’ll find that the ‘Gang of Four’ has now been reduced to the ‘Gang of One’. Jay sent a very nice message to this forum today.

Hugs and fuggs,

Gillian

My grandfather was at Passchendaele and he would not have put up with this sort of rubbish. There was no time for it you see. He was too busy fighting the Bosch.

Be like George and keep it up! I am still BANNED from his Pants Group, by the way, in spite of what that snide Ralphy says.

I have not posted here for quite some time for fear of being ridiculed by the snide bastard Ralphy, but I urge you all to keep going, and George.

Correct me if I'm wrong (I read Tudor/Stuart, not twentieth-century, history), but didn't we evacuate Dunkirk?

There is a strange message from clique member Mike on the Abyss. It seems that his ‘get up and go’ has got up and gone, for he has evacuated himself from this forum.

I am very pleased to see that Mike has found a suitable outlet. He has, along with George, joined the Nee-Trembler Group. Will he publish one of his recipes here? One can only live in hope.

Evacuated? Strange I still appear to be here! Now I wonder who has been feeding you false information!

Hi Steff,

"Dunkirk Spirit", Two words. You appear not to be giving due consideration to the second word!
