I've just discovered this forum and hope that the messages I have read about it closing down are not true.
I grew up in the UK West Midlands and received my share of "spankings" (it was never called that in my day, usually a "good hiding" or "the high jump") both at school and at home. Although people nowadays may be taken aback that CP was so commonly used we just accepted it as normal. It was even reinforced by TV programs such as "Whacko", "Billy Bunter" and the comics of the day which often depicted slipperings and canings.
I always got the impression that boys werer more readily whacked than girls, although I was caned at primary school along with about a dozen other boys and girls for participating in a snowball fight. I also knew a girl very well who sometimes received the cane at home and indeed this prompted my parents to get one for occasional home use too. Usually I received the slipper at home but if I stepped too far out of line a light stingy cane applied to the seat of my pyjama trousers would certainly get my attention.
It seems from past messages that this forum has gone off topic and may be closed, but if anyone wishes to correspond personally about their past experiences (especially the genuine ladies), please feel free to e-mail me.
Yes, this Forum was closed down by the snide Ralphy, but we members of the clique have ignored him and continue posting.
I have today followed the lead of one of the greatest politicians of recent times, John Major, and have started my own BASTARD BOOK. On the first page I wrote in large letters the name RALPHY. He is the first and the biggest BASTARD to be included in my BASTARD BOOK, and once I have re-read all the messages on the Forum, more BASTARDS will be added.

I am as saddened as you are Nigel, that this forum has closed. Let us hope that it will re-open without the interference of the BASTARD RALPHY.
In the meantime, many members would be stirred if you would post here some more details of your cp experiences.
