Season's Greetings

December 19 2002 at 9:24 PM

-
A happy Christmas to all those who have made this forum what it is today.

I am rather tired and emotional at the moment. Tomorrow is the last day of term and we shall be having a carol service followed by the staff knees-up.

The situation with my husband came to a head on Sunday when I found out that his barmaid had been giving it. C’est pour ca (I am trying to impress the Clique) that I will be spending Christmas alone for the first time in many years. I shall go away, but cannot decide between Brighton and Birmingham.

Margaret

Dear, dear Margaret,

What a horrible thing to have happen amidst the advent of our Lord. I do indeed hope that you will be able to find that special inner peace as this special time of year draws nigh, and that in the faces of Carefree children singing carols you will find an innocence that reassures you there still is some genuine good in the world. I myself am about to head off to a location also beginning with 'B', which shall remain undisclosed. Now that Margaret is official detatched, perhaps one of our members from either fair city could, in the spirit of the season, give her that certain thing for which she's been waiting all her life? On behalf of the clique, je vous espère aurai un Noël très, très joyeux!

And as I mark what, failing an immediate reply to this that demands my attention, will be my last post of 2002, let me just say how much I'm getting annoyed with this Network54 spam!

Dear Margaret,

As you may have gathered, several members of the Clique live in Sussex. Should you decide to come to Brighton, we would be delighted to meet you. Duke’s Mound is well worth a visit.

Sarajane lives in Birmingham, but not on the Bromford. There, they don’t have a knees-up, but a knees-open.

Dear Queen Steff,

I trust the spam to which you refer is advertising, and not the contributed contributions of contributors. I have blasted the advertisement BASTARDS with Naviscope. It is free from www.naviscope.com

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas in Bolton.

My Christmas

December 25 2005, 4:41 PM

Thank God Christmas Day is almost over. It is, for me, the worst day of the year, apart from my birthday. I haven’t spoken to anyone since yesterday lunchtime and today I couldn’t even be bothered to get dressed. The programmes on the television have been quite good, though. This afternoon I watched ‘A Star is Born’ and got upset as I always do when James Mason walks into the sea and right at the end when Judy says, “This is Mrs. Norman Maine.” ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ is on at the moment and I’m recording it for to view later.

I will make an effort and go out tomorrow and will perhaps buy some things in the sales. I need some new towels and pants.

Bye for now.

After xmas

December 29 2006, 7:42 PM

As regular readers will know i usually write in my own very special thread which i have called Childhood dreams, but i thought this time i will spread myself, but i mustn,t spread myself too thinly i was told in July 1992, and write something in this nice thread - seasons greetings - because it is still the season to be jolly - fa la la la la, la la la la - although it is what we time experts call <dead time> because it comes between xmas and newyear and everybody is a bit fed up because all you can do is go to tesco at 10.35 am.

But it wasn,t always <dead time> because when i was at Highgate Junior with Mr Thompson in my little red blazer i wasn,t there at <dead time> because it was the school Holidays at Highgate Junior with Mr Thompson and it was time for me to be away from Sharon and Samantha who bullied me at Highgate Junior so it was during <dead time> that i wasn,t bullied by Sharon and Samantha until one morning on December 30 at 11.47 and i was playing tents in the front garden and thinking about caning Sharon and Samantha and then they came past and said <we got lots of nice coloured knickers for xmas Jams, and if you give us a lump of that chocolate rabbit that you said your Aunty Hilda gave you for xmas we will show you our new knickers that we are wearing NOW.

And i said < i cannot give you a lump of that chocolate rabbit that Aunty Hilda gave me for xmas because the dog ate it>. And they got cross and said <You did not get nothing for xmas - you are the little boy that Santa Claus forgot> And then they danced round me and sang

<He,s the little boy that Santa Claus forgot
And Miss Lawrence is going to smack him on his bot
He sent a note to Santa for a bleeding great chocolate rabbit
But Santa didn,t bring him one
Because Jams has a nasty habit>

And then they went home at 12.03 without showing me their knickers and i cried.
This message timed at xmas Friday.
