The value of Latin

I've just bought a bottle of cleansing lotion from Tesco and, upon examining the list of ingredients, find that its main constituents are 'aqua' and 'paraffinum liquidum'.

Wow! With such exotic-sounding ingredients, it must be gre-e-e-e-e-at!

Don't knock aqua - it's also the principal ingredient of beer, wine and spirits. Not so sure about paraffinum liquidum though, but obviously it is a top-notch product with such classical constituents. You sure it's only cleansing lotion? Sounds good enough to drink. And it might have some interesting effects with all that paraffinum liquidum around

<Si latinitatis modicum quaeris, inspice in> -- oops, beggin yer parn, if you're looking for a bit of latinity, check out the 37th posting (assuming it makes it past the propriety Cerberus)in the "Poetry Corner" anthology above. (<Qui autem doctus videri vult, necesse est illo tubam propriam personare> [He who would appear learned must needs toot his own horn].)
