Gillian,

I'm sure all recipients on FR will be grateful for your good wishes.

I'm equally sure you will receive reciprocal good wishes from those who consider the £5 membership fee a small price to pay for the privilege of reciprocating.

Sending Easter cards is free!

I've sent hundreds.

You're quite right, Gillian.

Let Easter joy be unconfined!

Ring forth ye bells!

A joyous Easter it’s going to be
Fran Fromme-Wembley has sent a card to me!

Hugs and fuggs to Fran (and Heather)

Friends Reunited know how to celebrate Easter in style, don’t they?

I’ve sent you a very special card, Gillian, but I’m sending nothing to Fran Fromme-Wembley. If she won’t contribute any more articles about being slippered in green knickers (bending over, touching toes) then sod her!

I wanted to send a card to Steff, but it seems that she has not registered with Friends Reunited.

I am overwhelmed by the number of replies I have received to my Friends Reunited Easter cards. Some people have sent e-mail messages commenting on the forum, which I have advertised in my member notes. Earlier this evening, one woman (who has granted permission for me to reproduce her message) wrote –

‘Thanks for your Easter Card. It arrived last night just as my husband and I were about to turn the computer off and go to bed and we looked at your school punisment (sic) forum. We stayed up until 2am and got randy reading it. I don’t know who you are but I just wanted to say thank you for bringing a bit of excitment (sic) into our lives.”

Dear Ron,

I was overjoyed when I received your personalised Easter Card from Friends Reunited, but shed a tear when I learnt from your member notes that you are a multiple divorcee living in Lincolnshire.

To the women of Grimsby I say,

“Is there not one who would reside
With dear, dear Ron of Humberside?”

"Dear dear Ron who lives in Lincs
Tonight is having forty winks.
For eyesight's sake, let us give thanks
That dear dear Ron don't live in Lancs"

And as for dear, sweet Sarajane,
I hope my plight won't give him pain.
A good thing he resides in Brum,
With which the obvious rhyme is 'come'.

Easter at Friends Reunited...

April 11 2004, 5:05 PM

...is bloody awful this year. There are no cards and no little bunnies. Fortunately, it does not concern me unduly because I have a munch to go to, but I feel sorry for those members who have nothing.

A munch is a meeting of like-minded people in a vanilla environment. The idea of a munch is that people of all orientations and all levels of experience can meet in a safe environment to have a drink, socialise and make contacts. There is no playing at a munch and absolutely everyone is welcome except nuisances.
