The name ‘Alderman’ has today been added to the Friendly List. On British Spanking he proclaims, ‘I am a friendly persom (sic) believing in fairness for all.’

Roger,

Some months ago you published the complete Friendly List. It’s now buried in a thread and I can’t find it. Please add me to the Friendly List.

The Updated Friendly List

July 6 2003, 9:01 AM

I regret, Brian 4, that your name cannot be added to this Friendly List at this time.

The complete list is as follows:

Me; Not an Anonymous Donation; Robin (not Peverett); Gillian; Proud Member; Alderman; Darwinian Man; Gym Shoe; Ron; C. Nickel; Karen and most of the Brians.

I’m fairly new here but I want to be on the friendly list. Just look at my post about women singing. You can’t get much friendlier than that.

I can understand that I am not on the Friendly List, but why oh why is the Alderman on it? I have searched the forum and I cannot find anything by him.

'Alderman' has been a member of British spanking for exactly 6 days and made 15 posts so far...

read into that what you will... shrug

He's so friendly!

July 6 2003, 12:58 PM

Dear Confused,

The word in Brighton is that he is extraordinarily friendly, and as such deserves his place on the Friendly List.

As W.S. Gilbert had it in ‘H.M.S. Pinafore’:

‘For he himself has said it,
And it’s greatly to his credit,
That he is a Friendly Man’.

Today is the birthday of a dear friend whom I have not seen for several years. That I have been included on Roger’s Friendly List has helped to alleviate my sorrow.

Happy Birthday, Little Baby!

Dear Gas Mask Wearer and Belinda,

I have added your names to the Friendly List.

Although it is undeniably true that the friendly Alderman has not contributed to this forum, he is, on his own admission, friendly. His name, therefore, merits inclusion on the Friendly List.

Dear Gladys,

You are one of our most distinguished contributors and it gave me great pleasure to add your name to the Friendly List. Happy Birthday to your Little Baby!

Local people said Geoffrey Dahmer was 'a friendly guy'

looks can be deceptive....as can yours.....rumours abound of hidden agendas maybe? maybe we all have multiple personalities? perrish the thought that you do also.......

What the hell is this "friendly list" and what has it to do with school CP?

Re: What the hell....?

You know what the Friendly List is, Derek, even though you will never be on it.

I have added the name of Miles on Brighton Pier to the Friendly List. As readers will no doubt be aware, Miles is one of our most distinguished contributors. His geniality, however, has not been welcomed by the owneress of a recently established corporal punishment forum. I want you to know, Miles, that anything that you send here on the subject of ‘Rising Members’ or indeed on any topic, will be most highly valued.

I looked at the home page of the ‘recently established corporal punishment forum’. It contains the following hearty welcome:

‘This is a serious group, with DEFINITELY no reference to children today. Break this rule and you will be OUT.’

Interesting site?

July 19 2003, 7:20 AM

You may be disappointed with this group, dear, dear Ron.

It has several things in common with the inactive Knee-Trembling Group, not the least of which is the insistence of the female owners that what they term ‘fetish’ messages are inappropriate for their boards, despite having made such contributions themselves.

Just as you set a new record for the number of contributions to our Happy Circle within twenty-seven minutes, so this group has set a new standard for speed of enrolment. Founded just twenty days ago, it currently has seven hundred and sixty-nine members. Dear old Miles on Brighton Pier sent a message welcoming many of his friends. It was removed within hours of its arrival. Miles is easily put out and in a fit of pique deleted his other messages, which were so beautifully expressed, himself.

Re: Interesting site?

I agree with everything that Gillian has written above. But what have you started, my dear? The membership of the new fladge group has now increased to 779 and ‘fetish’ posts are coming in by the bucketful.

On the subject of Yahoo Groups, R.G., authoritarian owner of ‘Paddled at School’, has borrowed an idiomatic phrase much favoured by our clique. On the home page he exhorts his punters to “Keep Posting”.

Rendezvous

July 19 2003, 1:55 PM

Dear Karen,

I know that Roger is most anxious for a meeting next Wednesday, 23 July. I suggest, therefore, 12 noon at the Peace Statue on Hove Seafront.

All contributors to this forum are invited. After a short seafront stroll, we shall repair to the café at Hove Lagoon where I trust you will be my guest for afternoon tea.

Miles

Super idea, Miles! I’ll be there! Coincidentally, I have just heard on ‘Pick of the Pops’, presented by the awful Winton, Eddie Cochran’s recording of ‘Three Steps to Heaven’. In this country the three steps are Eastbourne, Worthing and Hove.

Very Friendly

July 19 2003, 4:06 PM

The message below from Derek, one of our most distinguished contributors, has today appeared on ‘The Spanking Facts and Research Forum’ which is run by our friend Paul. I am most grateful to Derek for promoting our Happy Circle and have added his name to the Friendly List.

This chat site July 19 2003 at 2:38 PM Derek

This is a good site and seems genuinely what it says it is : A Spanking Chat Forum.Paul seems to be doing a good job holding it together! One cannot guarantee the accuracy of all postings- nor can you be sure that “female” postees are really such, but on the whole there is a reasonable level of intelligence.

There is another chat site called School Corporal Punishment, which does include some of that but also seems to be run by a group of people with a “4th form schoolboy” mentality. There is a lot about a “Friendly List”, which is either an “inmanship” giggle or an attempt to exclude “outsiders”.And then someone goes on at length about whether he was punished with his socks on, for God’s sake!I shall be posting my experiences and what I know about girls’ CP shortly.

RE: Rendezvous

July 23 2003, 9:10 PM

Miles,

I saw you today. While you were waiting at the Peace Statue at 11.55am I was at the Meeting Place, the outdoor café next to it. You were wearing a white shirt and off-white trousers and you look like John Hurt. A few minutes later you crossed over the road to the Embassy Court and spoke to three people. I did not see them clearly but assume they were Roger, Karen and Robin. You then disappeared up Western Street.

I so wanted to speak to you but you looked very unapproachable. Now of course I wish I had introduced myself.

I should like to know why I am not on the friendly list. I'm sure I was on it the last time the subject was raised, a couple of months ago.

I very much regret having been unable to attend the do in Hove yesterday.

The Revised Friendly List

July 25 2003, 7:24 AM

Don’t be so silly, Gladys. The encyclopaedic squirrel could never be a Brian.

Please accept my apologies, squirrel, for the omission of your name from the Friendly List. This was caused by a database malfunction and a points failure at Portslade.

The complete list is now as follows:

Me; encylopaedic squirrel; Not an Anonymous Donation; Robin (not Peverett); Gillian; Proud Member; Darwinian Man; Sue Moron; Gas Mask Wearer; Belinda; Derek; Gym Shoe; Ron; C. Nickel; Karen and most of the Brians.

In and out

October 24 2003, 3:11 PM

Roger,

You should add the name of Bob T. to your Friendly List. He is even friendlier than I am.

While you are about it, remove from the Friendly List the names of those buggers who have not contributed for some time and therefore can no longer be considered friendly.

Re: In and out

October 24 2003, 7:27 PM

N.A.A.D.,

Roger is far too busy these days to update the Friendly List. I have, therefore, taken it upon myself to add thereto the name of Bob T.

I cannot agree with your second suggestion. Our Happy Circle has been graced with the contributions of many dear, dear people who for various reasons are no longer able and/or willing to write for us. We do not know what these reasons might be. Former contributors may be behind bars, be terminally ill, have been banned from the Internet for the abuse thereof or have died. I am particularly concerned that George (born 1916) the fantasy headmaster of St. Pants’ School may fall into the first category. It is also possible that some people no longer contribute because they do not wish to have their pieces appearing on a forum that contains your oafish remarks.

I have a high regard and a fondness for certain of our ex-contributors. It would be indelicate to name them, but they know who they are. Some of them were quite prolific and to remove their names from the Friendly List would be despicable. I wish them well, wherever they may be.

I will seek the opinion of Roger on this important issue, when he is not too busy.

Re: Re: The Friendly List

October 25 2003, 2:07 PM

Dear Bob,

It is most unlikely that anyone on the Friendly List would patronise the fast-food restaurants that you mention. I can tell you, however, that Mr. Harvey often visits the café at Hove Lagoon, which is almost as appalling, where he entertains adoring menopausal women who hang on to his every word while eating chocolate éclairs made from recycled cardboard.

Being a member of the Friendly List is a heavy responsibility. I feel a personal antagonism to contributors such as Not an Anonymous Donation, The Bollocks (whatever happened to him?), most of the Brians, Mr. Harvey and several others, but on the rare occasions that I respond to their drivel, my replies are couched in the politest of terms and thus I retain my membership of the Friendly List.

Gillian

Dear Gillian; I will try to shoulder the responsibility
as best I can.The Happy Meal comment was an inside joke. I generally stay out of trouble by not getting in the middle of others little spats. And I don't usually respond to anything rude or derogatory.I have read whith some interest, the little jabs thrown back and forth between yourself and some others. Some seem like outright attacks, but I have assumed these were good natured. Also ,you seem well informed about Mr. Harvey and his activities.Do I detect a note of admiration?

Les

I AM friendly!

October 25 2003, 8:04 PM

Bob:

Congratulations on your inclusion in the Friendly List. I have made several applications but they have been rejected.

Nothing on this Happy Circle can be described as ‘good natured’. Here it is every woman, and Gillian, for herself.

No, not admiration

October 26 2003, 9:30 AM

How can one feel admiration for the supercilious and facetious Miles Harvey? To the following polite request on one of the Brighton and Hove fora

carolinescott3 Posted - 25/10/2003 : 12:13:22PM
I am looking for musicians to work with to do RnB or dance type music, I am a female vocalist, does anyone know if there is a music centre or website I can go to find other musicians?

he replied thus:

Miles Posted - 25/10/2003 : 7:43:13 PM
Dear carolinescott3,
The Hanover Band, resident at The Old Market, Hove frequently perform ‘dance type music’. Musicians’ Union rates apply.
Miles

Readers should be aware that the Hanover Band is an ensemble that specialises in the performance of music written in the eighteenth century. The ‘dance music’ they play would be gigues, minuets etc.

Additional Additions

January 28 2004, 10:03 PM

My thanks go to Not an Anonymous Donation for suggesting that the name of Saro be added to the Friendly List. I am delighted to make such an insertion. The contributions of Saro are very highly valued indeed.

May I also add to the Friendly List, and offer a hearty welcome to this Forum, this Happy Circle, to Lady Pandora who is highly respected in the Wonderful World of Flagellation. There are many people who admire the dignity she showed in rising above the unpleasantness at British Spanking.

Love love love

January 29 2004, 1:25 AM

I'm flattered Roger, NAADonation. But what does it all mean this "Friendly List"? Should I expect cards and hugs and spanks on my birthday now? Never to be hassled by Lotta? My own personal tour of the best spanking venues next time I'm in Merry England??

Its nice to be loved.
