I have just come across this super site, and want to ask the following question. Has anyone, especially since the abolition of cp, been unofficially spanked in school, or anywhere else for that matter, as an alternative to "legal" punishments? I know that in a lot of US schools, the paddle is offered a a choice for certain offences instead of detentions, suspensions etc. But has anyone received, or maybe given, a spanking by, in effect, blackmail? You know the sort of thing, "I should report you to the Head for what you have done, but this will probably result in expulsion, and a lot of unpleasant publicity. If you are prepared to take an unofficial spanking from me here and now, we need say no more about it". No doubt there could be variations to this, depending on the situation.

Anybody who has experienced consensual spanking will readily accept that this a common scenario to re-enact. It might be the pupil as above, but could equally apply to the employee faced with the sack, or the teenager caught shoplifting. The possibilities are endless. But has it happened in real life, which of course is what this board is all about? Would anyone be prepared to offer to take a spanking as an alternative to the normal punishments, and is it ever likely yo be honoured?

Not even the kinkiest teacher would risk seriously offering corporal punishment to a pupil nowadays, although I know of one P.E. teacher who will say to girls, with a smile on her face, “I’ll smack your bottom, if you do that again!” No one seems to mind. They might do if they realised that the woman is of an alternative persuasion.

Occasionally cases are reported in the press where a boss gives an employee the choice of dismissal or a spanking. The employee opts for the latter and then regrets it.

On the subject of blackmail I can’t help remembering the actions of some of the girls at my junior school.

At that time (50s) at my school girls never got the cane as far as I know .

What the girls did do, however, was threaten to report boys to the teacher which they knew would end up in a caning. I can remember walking to school eating a small bag of sweets one snowy morning when I was about 9. I was approached by 2 girls a year older than I was who demanded a sweet. I refused and they rubbed snow into my face and ran off. Naturally I threw some snowballs at them as they ran and managed to hit one of them on the back of the head. She started crying and said she would report me.

At lunchtime she came into the boys section of the playground and said Miss ****, her class teacher, wanted me so off we went to see her. She was sitting at the desk in her classroom with a cane in prominent position on her desk and informed me that I was to be punished for throwing snowballs (which I knew was a caning offence). I tried to protest about the demand for a sweet and her rubbing snow in my face and she asked the girl if what I said was true. The girl denied it all and I was told to hold out my hand. Miss **** took up position, measured the distance with the cane and let fly. It was a cold day, my hand was freezing and she caught me on the tips of my fingers so you can imagine the pain.

We were then told to go. I went off crying and she went off grinning to tell her friends.

This pattern repeated itself several times and on the rare occasions I had any sweets I always had to let these 2 girls have one each under threat of “being reported”.

When I went to Grammar school and there weren’t any girls there I was very pleased.

I agree with Karen that it would be almost impossible for a teacher to unofficially spank a pupil nowadays; but did it happen in the good old days, when people were perhaps more afraid of admitting or reporting such actions?

She is also right that "alternative punisments" could have occurred in the workplace. I have a number of such cuttings, but two interesting ones spring to mind.

Firstly, there was the case about ten years ago of Rod Thompson, the driving instructor from Northumberland (Jon should know about this one!), who was accused of spanking his 19 year old female pupil ON 10 SEPARATE OCCASIONS! Now we must ask why she didn't complain the first 9 times he did it. Surely she should have reported him immediately, or at least changed instructors after lesson one. Could it be that she begrudgingly agreed to this form of encouragement, but eventually complained because he spanked her too hard, or, as was alleged, he tried to take down her trousers and pants. Jon, please explain all!

This leads on to the second example. There was a cafe owner, I think in the 1960s, who caned two of his waitresses on a number of occasions for pilfering and the like. From memory, it was suggested that one of them even suggested the cane as an alternative to the sack. The boss's wife even organised the puinishments but I don't think she actually participated. The only reason one girl finally complained was that he once caned her twice on the same day, and her bottom got too sore and bruised! Ahhh.

So I agree that such events do exist, and sadly come to court, and I can relate other examples if the clamour is loud! However, there must be members of this site who know of examples that have remained hushed up until today, and are dying to share them with an agog audience. Well, I'm agog anyway!

I remember this case. I think it was at the Castle Cafe in Newark, Nottinghamshire. The press reports I saw didn't specify whether the spankings were on the waitresses' bare bottoms.

I do remember the case well Stupot. I don't know exactly how he got away with it the first 9 times because he appeared to use little finesse. The report I recall relates her accusation that he "ripped down her trousers and pants"... although that may have been counsel's artistic licence. Perhaps she fancied him the first 9 times!

On the occasional time I spanked a pupil (always well deserved), I suggested in exasperated jest that she deserved to be spanked. More often than not it was laughed off and I would never suggest it again (twice is faixation!).. but sometimes, for whatever reason, it struck a chord, and it would be the pupil who would bring it up as a possibility again. Even then (and what else would you expect from a driving instructor) I needed the clearest green light ever before I advanced.

One cracking girl was a nurse from Singapore.. (she also sheds light on the topic in the Malaysia thread!) I can honestly say that I was a brilliant instructor; the test centers I used grew to expect every one of my candidates to pass. But this young lady was one of my toughest challenges, she really had no aptitude for driving and began to get very frustrated. I was always very patient and encouraged her, telling her not to be embarrassed as I had had many pupils as bad and indeed far worse than herself, and that it would come to her. Actually that was a lie, but a necessary one. It was during one of her weekly disasters that I shook my head and said that perhaps she needed a spanking. She laughed, and we carried on. But the next lesson during her next weekly disaster, she said, "I'm ready for that spanking now".. I laughed, and changed the subject to rectifying her fault but she perservered, insisting that she meant it. Green..pure pea green!

So we went to my place (luckily close to my teaching grounds) and she parked up and I ushered her inside. She said that she understood why I was spanking her as I sat down, and holding her wrist I draped her over my knee. She let out a little gasp when I raised her summer skirt onto her back, and then I spanked her round cotton-pantied bottom long and hard. She made no protest or attempt to get up. I asked her if she though that it was deserved and she said she thought it was... and encouraged by that (to make sure she learned her lesson, I said) I spanked her again. (God, what thorough devotion to duty!) The second spanking certainly stung; when she got up, behind a little smile, there were tears in her eyes.

Any fears that I had spanked her too hard were allayed at the end of the lesson, when she booked a midweek lesson (until then it had been once a week). On that lesson, she was awful again, and although I wanted to spank her again, I didn't want to push my luck, so didn't. But on the next lesson when I picked her up, she was in a bubbly, happy mood. I remarked that I had never seen her so happy. She replied that it was because it was a lovely day (which it was) and after a little pause then said.."and when I was at school, my favourite teachers used to spank me!"

Oh God Jon... go at the next green light. I put an arm on her shoulders (something I never did) and asked if whether the possibility that she may be spanked on her lessons, made her look forward to them more. She nodded affirmitively. I then asked her to pull over so we could have a serious talk. I asked her if that was why she had booked the extra lesson. It was..and poor girl she drove so badly... and didn't get spanked! I asked her if she could afford 2 lessons a week. She couldn't really. So I immediately gave her the previous fee back. (I know... you think I'm all heart), and told her that if she wanted extra lessons, they would be private...er more theory than practical.. more like being back atschool... and free of charge (I know... I'm just too generous and giving...she thought so too!)

But meanwhile, there was something to deal with..."wasn't there young lady!"... the unpunished awful driving of the last lesson. Back at my place I reminded her of her faults and suggested gravely that had her work been so bad at school, it wasn't a spanking she'd get... but a caning. Albeit with a nervous intake of breath, she nodded in aquiescence. However I told her that I doubted if she would be able to concentrate on her lesson if I caned her, so I would leave that treat in abeyance until our first "private lesson".. but meanwhile I intended to give her a very hard bare bottomed apanking. I suppose as she was a whisker away from a caning, that seemed a reprieve. And as this was now her second trip across my knee, she knew exactly what to do. She didn't even gasp when I bared her bottom... and knew that the post spanking lecture was merely an interval..and that a second spanking followed.

Her demeanour in the lesson that followed was like sunlight sparkling on a river, and when the lesson ended, she asked about when she could have a "private lesson". I suggested simply any evening we were both free. She asked if I was free that night! Indeed I was... and she was due a caning even before the lesson started!

Oh come on... it was only because I wanted to get her through the test! And I was donating my time for free!
Ok...it took a long time to get her through her test...and I had to be very firm and strict, albeit caringly and calmly...but we achieved it. Certainly she suffered many red wealed bottom nights on the way, but in the end I was very proud of her, and she was very proud of herself.

There wasn't that an edifying tale. Oh God, Jon... go straight to Hell... do not pass go...do not collect £200!!

Another case I remember which went to court, that somebody may recall more fully, was an accusation of indecent assault againt a driving instructor who allegedly had been having an affair with a pupil, and who one night took her back to the empty booking office, where he whipped her bare bottom with a whip "made of bootlaces". The defence was that it was part of a long running affair and according to the defence counsel, the young lady was "the type of girl who enjoyed old-fashioned discipline...usually with a cane, which, he alleged, she had supplied. (Don't I just adore "that kind of girl"!)

Well whether that was entirely truthful or not, it clearly struck a chord with the judge (a subject after all close to most judges' hearts) and if I recall correctly, the case was dismissed.

Any light on that one?
