Spanking Fetish or Pygophiliacs?

October 20 2003 at 5:34 AM

After reading quite a few of the postings on this site, some of these stories and my own experiences beg the question; were these teachers, headmasters, etc. just spank happy SOBs, or were they indulging a spanking fetish or Pygotripsis? Or was it just plain Sadism?

The thing that sticks out most in my mind is the triviality of most of the offenses for which this punishment was given. What I mean is if they give you the max. number of swats or strokes for something like the wrong color socks what do you get for something serious? ( like punching one of the SOBs in the nose )

Gosh!

I could not find pygotripsis in the dictionary but I searched on the web and discovered the definition ‘arousal from rubbing buttocks’.

Is this the same as ‘frottage’? Perhaps Roger or Gillian will tell us.

According to The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language , frottage is the act of rubbing against the body of another person, as in a crowd, to attain sexual gratification.
Apparently it come from old French froter which means to rub. This means that the French must have been targeting shapely derrieres long before the Paris Metro came into operation.
Tracey, how could you even suggest that spanking has anything to do with sexual gratification? We all know that nobody contributing to this forum would ever associate the two things.

Frottage and Pygotripsis

Further to the information supplied by Richard, frottage is a fairly harmless sexual deviation in which a man rubs his genitals against the buttocks of a woman. A well-known department store in Knightsbridge during sale time is a favourite venue and the store’s owner may often be seen frotting away with the punters. My colleague, Roger, is a self-confessed frotteur and has written about his activities on this forum.

I believe that pygotripsis involves the use of the hands, but I hope that Bob will supply the definitive answer.

I also believe that in the U.K. expulsion from school was considered a more severe punishment than caning, but I hope others will be able to correct me if I am wrong about this.

Richard is right! No one on this forum associates spanking with sexual gratification.

Tracey is a pervert and as such is not wanted here.

Pygotripsis

October 21 2003, 3:38 AM

Gillian; I was going to supply the textbook definition but my subscription to the Encyclopedia of Unusual Sex Practices has expired and I don't wish to renew. However, pygotripsis is the act of sexual gratification from rubbing the buttocks (not your own).
I'm not really sure it qualifies as deviant behavior. The U.K.s Human Sexuality Guru:Desmond Morris tells us that the female buttocks is a natural turn on for us guys. Really what I was hoping for was, that you could shed some light on the fact that they used such trivial excuses to administer these punishments. And if there is any documentation that suggests a link between being spanked or wittnessing spanking as a child and adult proclivities such as pygophilia or pygotripsis or spanking ones spouse as foreplay or other such games. I know there is a lot of anticdotal evidence i.e. "I do this because I saw a girl get spanked in school and now I'm hooked." But are there any studies that support this. I have read somewhere that there is no correlation and that there would be just as many adults engaged in spanking games if there had never been any CP in the schools. In fact there seems to be more young girls claiming to like to be spanked than there were when I was younger. Contrary to what you might read in the papers or see on TV, there is not much CP left in the public schools here in the U.S. It mostly occures in some southern states where they are behind the times and for a long time had very small gene pools, if you catch my drift. In most of the states that still allow CP it is not like the old days when a teacher could paddle a student for any reason or no reason at all.

Of course I was being facetious when I suggested that no one on this forum associates spanking with sexual gratification. In fact those lucky enough to have found a willing partner would not waste their time just writing about it. They would join the many couples who consider spanking to be an important part of their sex lives.

Bob’s point about teachers administering severe corporal punishment for minor offences is an interesting one. I think that some teachers just thought that a caning should be given occasionally in the interest of maintaining discipline. It’s a little like a referee in a soccer match showing a yellow card when the game is getting out of hand. It’s not necessarily the worst foul but the next one committed that will be punished. Of course those teachers who had to resort to administering corporal punishment just to show their authority were not the best educators.

Then there’s the question of whether certain teachers actually enjoying whacking firm young backsides. Most teachers would probably maintain that they never gave a caning that was not deserved. I would say that even if the punishment was justified many people would find the act of whacking a shapely teenager on the bottom most stimulating.

Facetiousness is banned on this Forum and I have written to Carl and Mats suggesting that they take drastic action against they that dare to be facetious in our happy circle.

I think that the thing I have the real problem with is the fact that teachers and principals (heads)and dep.principals had free rein to just paddle/cane us for anything or no reason at all.And had no fear of repercussions. All they had to deal with was an occasional angry parent. And I don't know how teachers handled it in the U.K. but in the U.S. they practically laughed in the face of angry parents because they knew the law was so loosely written that they had nothing to fear. Their only concern was public opinion. If something got in the newspaper or on television they might lose their job.

I guess the reason I have such a problem with this is if I got punished for doing something that I knew was wrong I took my swats and got over it.But, if I got paddled for some trivial offense , I stayed angry and rebelious for a long time afterward, which always led to more paddlings and then more anger on my part. And the teacher has forgotten all about it because they weren't the ones hauled up to the front of the room and whacked for no good reason. So they can't understand why you are so rebellious now, when you weren't before. It turns into a vicious circle and the teacher etc. bears no responsibility for their actions. And really they don't care one way or another because they didn't have to. That is not to say all teachers were like that, some care very much about their students. To sum it up,nothing pissed me off more than to get a beating for something I didn't do or I felt didn't merit the severity of the punishment.

I don’t know, it seems to me that corporal punishment gets a bit of a bum rap in this case, ha ha. I mean, people have fetishes over nappies and leather but you don’t get social pressure to ban parents from diapering their kids or dressing them in lederhosen.
Lots of the interaction between adults and kids is sensual. When you hug a child it feels good. When you say “cute kid” you mean they’re aesthetically pleasing. These things do not immediately mean the child is at risk from sexual molestation, even though extremists and 'child advocates' may wish to persuade us otherwise. Similarly a teacher or parent ought to be able to think “nice butt” when administering a spanking without being instantly accused of having made up the reason for giving it. I swear to god the last cop that ticketed me was getting off on being able to ticket, but that didn’t negate the fact that I’d just made an illegal turn.
At one level, ALL punishments suck, not just corporal ones. And the ones that stay with you are definitely the unfair ones. A million years ago when I was growing up in a single sex boarding environment, feelings of collective anger were focused on those teachers who punished arbitrarily rather than those who slippered or sent you for the cane. Actually your peer group’s assessment that your punishment had been a. fair and b. firm was very helpful in dealing with its aftermath.

Pygotripsis and frottage

October 22 2003, 7:29 PM

Well you learn something new on this site! I have not heard of pygotripsis before, though I have of frottage. I believe that frottage is rubbing the body through clothing, whereas I would guess pygotripsis involves the naked bottom. Indeed it sounds like a description of what Robin Peverett was doing to the girls he assaulted (see other threads on this site)in that he spanked some of them but also in some cases just rubbed their bottoms for long periods.
