Gillian; A pop-up showed up on my screen when I tried to access this site yesterday.It was from network54 saying that I had to choose between 2 grey boxes or in the future I would be denied entry to this site.I think that is what Ron was referring to.It said wait 30 seconds for the grey boxes to appear,but they never did appear on my screen,so I clicked on a little window that opened up saying click here if grey boxes do not appear.

I had something similar but just went somewhere else briefly and came back in using 'History' on Internet.
Hope we have not lost Ron (see Poetry Corner) - is Lincs a pun on Links?

Gillian, I don't know what you found out about these grey boxes, but I got it popping up again so I read everything it says and what they want is to get me to allow them to install spyware or adware on my computer so that I get pop ups from them when I am surfing the web.They call it Entry Pass and they say if I refuse then sometime in the future I will be denied access to this forum. Last time I clicked ok and within 2 weeks they installed 657 traces on my computer. I know it was them because I have all others blocked.These all came from one program because when I did a sweep it was the only one that was found.

Like you, I reluctantly accepted the advertising material. As yet it has not effected my enjoyment of this forum, but, unlike you, I don’t really understand its workings.
