Edge or a ruler?

August 7 2004 at 12:13 PM

Anyone get the ruler edge-on at school?

We had one master who used it, held at one end pivotted between forefinger and thumb, on hands and bottom.

I had not heard of this, so I experimented. I don’t like it. The warm after-glow is lost and so is the customary resonant sound of the flat of a ruler striking a bum.

Edge OF a ruler ...

Hi

Thanks for the response ...

(I have just realised that my original post was entitled "Edge or a ruler" ... that should have been "Edge of a ruler"!)

The master - he was one of the Brothers of the Irish (very un-)Christian variety - who used the edge of a ruler was also known to be one of the ones who carried a strap around with him usually, so why he resorted to this lesser(?) form of punishment who knows?  Maybe it was because there were always rulers handy on the desk ... well, there were until we started hiding them away!!!  But somehow he would find one and whack us on the bum or the hand.

No, it isn't a pleasant feeling is it? ... not as bad as a cane, of course!

Hi Gillian

Thanks for the response and for the welcome ...

I think I know the site to which you refer ... ... an interesting place!
... I am sure that this site is happy and members indulge in civilised discussion and avoid aggressive, disparaging and confrontational postings.

I hope to make lots of new contacts of the male/male CP enthusiast variety ...

Thanks again ... take care ... have fun

Lotta Nonsense ...

Because I can, mate ...

... it's a facility that's there and meant to be used, presumably.

Why not post something apposite and constructive, mate? ... and, if you can't do that, why post anything at all?  You seem to be one of those posters worth ignoring.

Have fun ... well, make the effort anyway
