Josie Holt's "The Uniform Journal"

September 8 2004 at 9:34 PM

I am looking for a defunct magazine by Josie Holt called the "The Uniform Journal" from about ten years ago (1994-95)

Has anyone got one?

Does anyone know what happened to Josie Holt?

Josie Holt

Josie Holt, aka Simon C******, was Miss Prim's business partner many, many moons ago. Honesty is not his best attribute and several people have indicated a fervent desire to insert a sharp implement deep into his considerably fat frame.

After publishing The Uniform Journal and another title in A5 format, he went on to publish Strictly Uniforms and various other titles including Uniform International . It is alleged that he would instruct a new printer to produce each issue and request that they store several thousand copies of the original print run, thus giving the printer confidence that as they were holding goods that he would require at a later date, the printer would be paid. Needless to say, this was a confidence trick and he simply disappeared with the magazines he needed. He also had a very profitable line in selling what were supposed to be spanking videotapes, but anyone foolish enough to part with their money would receive a blank tape (if they were lucky enough to receive anything at all), dispatched from his well-shielded accommodation address.

The last issue of Strictly Uniforms was published over 12 months ago and at that time was distributed by a Company that was a front, set up to launder money from criminal activity, but has now gone out of business (a feat in itself, going bust selling porn!). The current distributors are honest (if you discount Dave's conviction for bank robbery). In view of the fact that the market for CP magazines has shrunk dramatically over the past few years due to the Internet, it is to be hoped that this thorough rogue has disappeared into obscurity and will no longer cheat people. But unlikely.

As someone who once parted with £50 for one of his non existant video tapes I suppose that I'm one of the folks who would like to ram something long and sharp up his a***. However it is much easier to get your own back by writing to him and requesting more tapes - describing in your letter every lurid detail of the spanking and knickers tapes you've had from him in the past - you have to use your imagination here! Then you address your letter to his mother, who he still lives with, or did in 1996. I was given his address by Daisy Publication who had published his advert and who hadn't been paid either I recall. I suspect that they too have a very sharp object for his name on it!

Jim Knickers,

We are honing the long and extremely lethal blade at this very moment.

Sorry that you were taken in, as we were.

A search for company number 02695660 at www.companieshouse.org may produce interesting information.

Strictly my opinion

All of this is very interesting, but seems to overlook an important fact: titles such as Strictly Uniforms, Uniforms International, Uniform Colour Collection and even the ancient A5 'Josie Holt' magazines were excellent, and there is nothing available now, in terms of CP publications, that I enjoy as much.
I miss all the magazines badly, and wish they could start being published again.
All of the things said in the above posts might be true, but I would still want to thank somebody who published such good stuff, even if he did do so by - it seems - slightly 'dodgy' methods!
