Lotta Nonsense

Ozzy Osbourne is complaining to the world about the £2 million burglary which took place at his English home recently.

Tut! Tut! Ozzy.

Have you forgotten that before embarking upon your music career . . . you yourself were a burglar?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia:

Ozzy was not a particularly talented criminal. He wore gloves to steal from houses and shops so as not to leave fingerprints, but they were fingerless gloves and he was soon arrested. He was sentenced to six weeks at Winson Green Prison.

Over here in the colonies, we say "what goes around, comes around". Just another way of saying you reap what you sow.

From 'Private Eye' No. 1121

December 10 2004, 6:38 PM

The theft of £2m worth of jewellery from the Buckinghamshire home of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne received blanket coverage across the media.

“We worked for everything,” a sobbing Sharon told a televised press conference. “I came from Brixton. Ozzy came from a not very nice part of Birmingham and everything we’ve got we have worked our arses off for.”

Well, not quite everything. In 1965 Ozzy Osbourne was jailed for three months for burglary, after a series of thefts including an incident which he described in his autobiography as “climbing through the window of the old lady who lived next door to us.”
