The local paper here in Suffolk had extracts from a village school punishment book last week c1950.

They also had class photos so you could see what the boys and girls who were punished looked like

If I am not mistaken, someone posted something about these type of articles being published to boost circulation.

I gather from the Senior Archivist at the County Coucil that it should not have been published.

They try and have a 50 year restriction on this books but with the Freedom of information Act this may not stand up.
