Slippering question

When given as a formal punishment (eg being told to bend over at school), was the slipper normally applied to each side of the bottom in turn, or just to one side?

It depends on the size of the slipper and the size of the bum being slippered. With a primary school age kiddie a size 9 slipper, such as they used in Wembley, would be able to connect with both cheeks.

On the other hand, the lard arse of Jumbo Binnersley, with whom I was at school in North Dulwich, would have needed a size twelve for just one cheek.

It stung either way

I got the slipper twice at secondary school, both for unruly behaviour.

The first time, four of us were slippered in the corridor outside the classroom. We were told to line up and bend over as a group. The form teacher then went down the line and whacked us once on each cheek, he then came back and repeated it. Those second two whacks really smarted for a while.

My second slippering was in front of the class with another boy. We were made to bend over one of the front desksand we each got four whacks on the same cheek, now that did make my eyes water.

BOTH SIDES

At school the pe master was the person to use the slipper. He was an expert and ensured that it landed equally on both cheeks leaving a large red imprint.

Slippering quesgtion

Teachers at my school used both methods. It always hurt more, though, when just one cheek was targeted at a time.

My worst slippering was from an RE teacher in my third year. He gave me six, really hard, all on my right buttock and he used the heel of the plimsole, not the sole. That was the only time a slippering at secondary school made me cry. It left a bruise too and carried on hurting for ages.

The Three Whack Method

March 29 2005, 9:13 AM

The teacher we had in the last year at primary school used the three whack method. One light warm up whack with the slipper on each side then a stinger across both.

This caused the boy to jump up and dance a jig, mostly to the delight of the rest of the class
