Hi Everyone,

Do any memebers still remeber nylon shorts at school! These were the
very silky, shiny, satin football (Soccer) shorts that were around in
the 70s, 80s and possibly learly 90s. These were genrally a lot
shorter then they are now and made the the liked of Umbro and Adidas.
Love to hear any comments about what you throught of these shorts
like did you like wearing them or were you ever punished while in
them Also did any girls ever wear them and if so, what was your
throughts of wearing satin shorts.

Our school still uses these for the boys and girls. They are issued by the PE teacher.

We wear them for Gymnastics. They barely cover our bum, and are split to the waist on each side. I feel really sleek and slinky in them, particularly when we go running outside in the rain and get sopping wet.

The gym mistress disciplines us with a little riding crop, whacking our bare thighs for any disobedience or poor performance. Sometimes we (or especially the boys)are whipped across the buttocks, and the thin little short are no protection at all. You can easily see the red stripes.

I purchased my first pair of black satin shorts in 1979.I still have them amongst many more i collect them these Days.I remember clearly, seeing them in the shop counter.They were Adidas Super A.So shiny so slick.I was bulging my jeans all the way home.Rushing up stairs stripping off and sliding them on was a pleasure that i have not forgoten.I took them to school the next day and was tawsed over the vaulting horse for wearing non regulation shorts.The tawsed you for anything then.The rest of the lads seemed to be impressed with my gleaming wet look black satin shorts and soon many had them.They became standard soon after.This diddn`t stop us getting whacked over our satin shorts though.I think the PE teacher liked to see the lads in their glossy satin shorts as those in non satin shorts didn`t get whacked as much.
