10 years ago this classic hetero S&M extravaganza was one of the scene's best loved mid-week club nights. But back in October 1994 things were brought to an abrupt end when a small army of bobbies raided the club, seized all the equipment, interrogated the punters and attempted to prosecute both the promoter and club owner for 'running a disorderly house'.
After protracted court cases and every effort on the police's part to secure prosecutions, the case was dismissed by the jury. This was a landmark ruling as a precedent was now set - the law had no right to meddle in people's right to collectively enjoy the erotic lifestyles they chose for themselves. It blew the doors off the still rather clandestine S&M scene and paved the way for the rich, diverse and open climate we can all enjoy today.

I may be a bit slow on the uptake but I'm having some difficulty here trying to see what "S&M club nights", whatever they may be, might have to do with the subject of school corporal punishment.

Well it depends really doesnt it whether we are talking about acts between consenting adults, unconsenting illegal acts with minors, or fantasy acts of role play hopefully with consenting adults.

S& M and role play acts are related.

As a follow up to the 'This is political posting' last night filming took place in a London location re enacting the Whiplash raid in 1994 that happened at The Reflex in Putney.

The programme which as of yet has no title will be screened in the summer of next year.
Although I was not at the raid in 1994 I realise the importance of the happenings in the way it changed things for everyone who is into certain interests whether it be spanking, Bdsm, S&m or whatever the latest name is for our activities.
I would like to thank Ishmael Skyes for the part he played last night in putting things together and also what he has done for me personally in the last 8 years. I saw it as an honour to be part of last nights filming.

In times when there is a cause to be fought people seem to stand together and fight the cause. People stood up for their rights in “ The Whiplash raids” where the promoters got prosecuted “The Spanner Case” where people went to prison “ The Angela Quinn case” where her house was raided for merely producing a run of the mill spanking magazine doing little or nothing for the ladies health.

So to the point it would be really nice if people could stop being nasty to one another within whatever scene you are into. I am not going to start making false claims to be the Angel Gabriel here because I know I am not. The point is that there may come a time where people need to stand up for their right to be themselves and pursue their interests freely and consensually. If everyone is slaggin each other off the outcome is not only going to be not to grand in basic words the outcome may be that everything stops in which case we are all ****ed.
