It's not so much a case of whether children get consciously turned on by corporal punishment, but more a case of certain physical effects caused by spanking or caning applied to the buttocks, which in turn may result is sexual arousal.
It is now generally well understood by experts that the sensory nerve branches which supply the skin of the buttocks share the same roots as those nerves that supply the genital/perineal/anal region, and in particular, the penis in boys and the clitoris in girls. Additionally, the same network of arteries supply blood both to the buttocks and genital regions. It is these factors which mean that painful/violent stimulus applied to the buttocks can easily result in sympathetic stimulation of nerves in the genital region. Also, the reddening of the buttocks caused by the rush of blood to the area during and after a paddling or caning frequently spreads to the neighbouring genital area. This is particularly the case with girls, because the genital area (vulva) is located very close to the anal/lower buttock region, which is usually the locus of impact of the paddle or cane.
Because of these factors, a child may experience sexual arousal as well as pain during a spanking or caning.

I'm afraid you are wrong. All experts agree that children and adolescents can experience sexual arousal. Depending on their age and sexual knowledge, they may NOT BE AWARE that the feelings/sensations they are experiencing are related to sex, or to sexual arousal, but it is psychologically, and physically, sexual arousal just the same.

For every source you might quote to support your position, I'll bet I can find two that disagree.
In my opinion, only a pedophile would agree with such a conclusion as yours. The very idea of it makes me sick.
This is the type of position one takes anonymously on a computer screen, but would never admit it in person for fear of a broken nose or other bodily harm.

exactly I know from my own teenage fumbling that girls as young as fourteen can be in an extreamly aroused state, don't worry I'm talking about when I too was fourteen...or maybe fifteen.
Also one only has to have worked in a music venue to know how aroused young girls can be whilst watching pop bands. I worked in such a joint for thirty years and rock n roll bands mean damp knickers and many of those girls were extreamly young, twelve year olds even.
If we are talking about children being anyone under 18 then yes they can be sexually aroused.

I felt strange stirrings after watching a cowboy film involving a spanking when I was about 8 years old.
A girl friend of mine said she used to get similar feelings at about the same age
Another girl friend said she allways got turned on by people getting tied up in films and developed a life long bondage fetish, again about the same age.
Lots of youngsters played spanking games/school/teacher etc when very young.
Its possibly something that developed as part of one psyche.

If I remember correctly, Pediatricians stop treating children at age 15. I know girls and boys develope earlier.
But the statement that "ALL" experts agree is absolutely without foundation. Alfred Kinsey might agree, but I believe his opinion was controversial then and now.

There are several schools of psychiatric thought which suggest that ALL little girls secretly want to be the centre of Daddy's attention all the time & MAY be extremely aroused by getting a spanking from him as a means of getting his undivided attention. There's also common agreement that this phoenomenon can be manifest from age 4-5 onwards!
The idea that little girls being told " You're for it, young Lady" by Daddy are all going to chorus "Ooh, PLEASE do it properly,Daddy" is fatuous. Bob. I really think your understanding of child psycho-sexuality is positively Victorian. The position I have stated has been common psychiatric knowledge since the time of Freud in the 1920s. It is expounded fully in his thesis entitled "A child is being beaten", a recognised and standard psychiatric work.
The notion that children are completely non-sexual beings - i.e. that they are incapable of any kind of sexual feelings or arousal at all, was a victorian notion long since discarded, and never in fact held by psychiatrists, as the whole science of psychiatry was founded by Freud in the first place. Get yourself into at least the 20th century, if not the 21st!
By the way, does this mean that all child psychiatrists are pedophiles in your view?

Your quoting Freud in one sentence and telling 'ME' to get into the 21st century in another? As you say, I'm not an expert, but I do know that most, if not all of Freuds work has been debunked long ago. Next you'll be telling me it was all my mothers fault.
I don't think I've heard of anyone doing sex research on children (except maybe some guy who is now Bubba's prison bitch). So, I guess everything you say is supposition. Who would fund research on child sexuality? Pedophiles. That's who.
I could just see someone applying for a grant to do a study on child sex. The guy would be on the 6 o'clock news in handcuffs. The judge would give him a new roommate named Bubba. Which is what you will be getting if you continue with your child sexuality ideas.

I can confirm from my own experience that, from age 11 onwards, watching other boys being slippered by prefects and masters at school aroused me in a way that I later realized was sexual. Thinking about girls receiving the own treatment was also sexually arousing for me as a pre-teenager and young teenager. When having to bend over and be slippered or caned myself, on the other hand, I was too frightened about how much it would hurt to have any sexual feelings. And when actually experiencing the pain of a good hard beating, sex was the furthest thing from my mind.

Unfortunately, it's a fact.
Children, little girls especially, are aware of their sexuality a lot earlier than social conventions will have you believe.
The recent case of a 12-year old Mum in Scotland should illustrate that. Got pregnant by a cradle-snatching 14 year old boy. You will also find that girls are capable of getting pregnant at an earlier age than boys are capable of fathering the resulting little bastards, and that the odds of the resulting offspring becoming a teenage parent or worse increase expedentially.
As to whether this thread is off-colour, how many of us do you think enjoyed childhood feelings if we had the pleasure of seeing a member of the opposite sex get a good bare-bottom spanking? How many of us had sexual feelings? In both cases, all of us.
And now, how many of us would fly to a porn web-site to watch children suffering in that way, or would practise recreating those scenes when engaged in sex?

Steve, you have broken the cardinal rule and told the truth.
It is a fact that the female of the species practises the art of male manipulation well before puberty.
They may not know exactly what they are doing and the result can be more than they bargained for but it sems part of the growing up process.
I doubt if anypne on this site is a P word, its too public and nothing to do with the subject.
I doubt if even the pervy teachers who liked CP actually had any sexual wishes with their little treasures. I think they just enjoyed the control in most instances.
Some may have even thought they were doing good and some probably were doing good.
