I've just found this forum, and I think it is very good, a lot of people have got some interesting things to say, even though there does seem to be the odd sceptic amongst you.
At primary school I was one of many victims of a particularly sadistic "man"?? who would give full force slipperings for the very slightest of reasons. It was impossible to get through the 2 years I spent in his class without feeling that adult sized white pump across my behind, as he would often order all the boys to the front to recieve a couple of very hard whacks. My very first slippering was a traumatic affair as I had never been disciplined in this way ever before. Any punishment at home was a clip around the ear or smacked legs (my parents were not strict disciplinarians). In all I was slippered 11 times at my primary school.
When I got to secondary school in the first year I was slippered a lot by mainly male teachers, but one female teacher(P.E mistress called Miss Davis) seemed to just have it in for me and she slippered me a lot in the first 2 years. I did get the cane as well, but it was never administered with a vengeance. I think this was because the plimsoll was so widely administered, that the teachers knew that if they really wanted to "vent their spleen" then they could deliver that pump with maximum force.
Girls did get caned on their hands and the P.E mistress's would slipper them on their behinds, but this was very rare. I secretly witnessed 2 girls from the year below getting slippered by a right hard case called Mrs Turley. She slippered me .."once" I was mad at school but I wasn't that mad that I was prepared to let her catch me again. I thought I had escaped from being slippered by female teachers (very embarassing at that age). A slippering off Davis was not pleasant but off Turley...that was just too much!
One more thing,I find it interesting when people say they were whacked with a black plimsoll at their secondary school. At my secondary school (1974-79) there wasn't a black pump in sight, everyone wore white pumps until about 1977 onwards when trainers became the thing. We still were only allowed to wear plimsolls in the gym because trainers marked the floor, which suited me fine because I loved wearing my plimsolls and still do.

It is true that there are a few sceptics contributing to this forum, and accounts of secondary pupils being corporally punished by teachers of the opposite gender are sometimes questioned. (cf. ‘Frantasies’) Please tell us the name of your school.

My primary school was called St. johns and my secondary was called Ainsdale.

We have a saying, devised by one of our slightly sceptical members, which goes ‘An unnamed school is a fantasy school.’ Only yesterday, we had a bloke on here who refused to name the school where he claimed he was caned on the knickers when a fifth-year schoolgirl!

There was a fair amount of fladge meted out at Ainsdale, according to former pupils on the Friends Reunited site. The inappropriately named Mr. Christian appears to have been particularly enthusiastic.

You are right, a fair bit was handed out but "Taffy" Christian was actually quite a fair man and he only picked on "hard" cases. But when he did hand it out, most people would be trembling in their plimsolls. Another equally feared teacher was a guy called Astin, VERY unpleasant.
Neither of these men were anything near as fierce as my old primary school teacher "MR KEARNS" who slippered me 11 times ruthlessly.On 5 of these occasions it was all the boys out to the front, but on one occasion after he slippered all the boys he then ordered all the girls out and spanked them with his hand, most girls got a little slap but one poor girl and I have seen her name on the friends reunited list got a right hiding, her initials were S.C. It happened circa 1973/4 and if anyone who was in Kearns class at that time is reading this they will know exactly who I am talking about.

Quite bizarre how some teachers became so obsessive and sadistic with an unattractive piece of footwear. Luckily for me never slippered.

A few lads took a couple of stinging whacks by PE teachers for dirty kit, pumps included, unlike us girls being more hygienic in these matters.

Strangely, received a couple of detentions for using that wonderful paint on white pump cleaner during school hours, well did have something to do with a bit of a side line, trading pristine whitened plimsolls, for homework.

Can only concluded that a class of brilliant white pump owners deprived a particular teacher of a bit of right hand swinging. hypocrite his whacko plimsoll was minging

I have to disagree with Ketta as I find plimsolls very attractive footwear. I have several pairs in various states, some are brand new and some are well worn and very bendy!. Although I don't doubt that my overwhelming interest in plimsoll's is down to my (bottom's?) exposure to them at an early age. At my school's, slippering seemed to be a very normal day to day thing and if you weren't being slippered you were very much the odd one out.

Dirty plimsolls were not really a crime at my school, but not having them or any other piece of P.E kit most definitely was. In an earlier post I mentioned that I was quite mad at school, it wasn't mad in an evil way I was just very scatterbrained and disorganised which meant forgetting books, pens, P.E kit, notes from my parents, forgetting detentions (got slippered twice for that) etc whereas the penalty for some of these offences was the slipper when the teachers knew who they were dealing with (a lost cause!...ME)they tended to go a bit easy i.e a cursory flick across the backside with a cane or pump which I do include in my totals of how many times I was slippered or caned. Very often the teachers who meted out this kind of discipline were some of the funniest people around and usually you could get away with more with these people than most. In my secondary school I only recieved 2 real wallopings in the 5 years I was there and they were both by I cringe to say this 2 different female teachers. The first occasion in the first year I recieved 2 really hard whacks of the slipper off the girls games teacher on the field. The second time was in the 4th year. Mrs Turley was riding home on her bike down Station rd and for whatever reason she nearly fell off. I was walking past kwik save, saw all this and proceeded to publically laugh my head off.....oh! what a stupid thing that was to do. The following day she kept me back after P.E and in the small corridor between the gym and the changing room she delivered 2 really hard whacks of one of my own pumps.She probably wasn't allowed to do that but in those days you just didn't argue. I remember I got slippered by a guy called Wallis, for giving him some cheek when he came out of the pub one night, it was about 9pm, but he still got me next day, in fact it was him that slippered me the most at secondary school....6 of the slipper for once again forgetting my pumps. It was the 3rd time I had done it and he rewarded me with 2 extra on each occasion!

Mind you I was around in those days, some who shall remain nameless were not.

On that basis, we're be obliged to believe almost every story we're told.

Girls being slippered in our school was rare but it did happen and I heard about it about half a dozen times whilst I was there. I wasn't hiding in the bushes or anything cloak and dagger I was simply delivering the punishment book to the gym. When I arrived, there was no one about but I could hear shouting from the sports hall. I walked up to the the little fire window in the door and because the gym was lit and the corridor was dark I saw two girls get slippered on their bums whilst wearing their P.E shorts by their FEMALE P.E teacher. They didn't have to drop their knicks or do anything like say some fantasy ritualistic comments like "1" miss! or "thank you miss". They just got their bums whacked and left red faced. As soon as they walked towards the door I shot back to the office it was all over in about 30 secs. Turley asked me what I was doing there and I told her I was delivering the punishment book. It was that simple.LOTTA!

Though looking at other subjects it would appear that you seem to have made a career over the last few years glued to this site making disparaging remarks about anything you don't believe. I have no reason to doubt your recollections. You know, we all know, what we witnessed or experienced, it maybe, if others haven’t, it’s hard for them to accept .

I think most of us have accepted that Lotta was lucky enough not to have either, experienced CP or it had been abolished.

I can distinctly remember one of STOPP's campaigns in the 70's which focused on Merseyside. There was hardly a secondary school where the punishment book wasn't in weekly use, and most were daily entries.

They found that one school had entries over the year for around 850 of the 1,200 pupils! And that was canings only! Boys and girls,too!

For the benefit of Lotta and other uninitates, Ainsdale is in Southport, the posher end of Merseyside.

And the report on Flogging High was in-the Sun! Which was, even then, not noted for restraint and tender feelings towards misbehaving teenagers.

I also say Hail to a man who admits his fetish for slippers publicly-NOT the mark of someone making it up.

In my time at grammar(63-70), whites started to dominate blacks by 10-1 in the plimsoll world,after a fairly even start. Mine were dirty white, due to thousands of lunchtime games of football, in which I often played in goal and saved quite a few pens.

Only an idiot would do it on asphalt, but then I didn't join with this forum with certificate of sanity included!

It was an accepted fact of life.

You say you and the rest of yout classmates all recieved the slipper one day.
Forgive me if you have related this story before, but would you mind going over it again. i.e was it a mixed class, how many whacks did you get, was it an adult sized plimsoll and was it a white one. I was never slippered with a black pump always a white lace up which has become very symbolic to me right from an early age up to being an adult, I have always loved white pumps and still own several pairs. How has it affected you in later life, most people I know that were slippered at school seem to have dealt with it in a very matter of fact way . You know what I mean you were there so you got it , it was unavoidable. With me it was different I was introduced to a very sensual sensation (albeit very painful at the immediate time) on what has now turned out to be my most erogenous zone. Everybody's bodies are different and one persons e.zone might not be as stimulated as the next. I now very much enjoy playful spanking in the bedroom and we have played with "toys" i.e a cane and a nicely worn in white pump which looks just like that symbolic "jimsoll" I got walloped with all those years ago. To answer your questions.
The class was mixed and wait for it the slipper was in fact the sole of an old baseball boot.
This was Macs own rather peculiar weapon.
It was only one whack each but Maca was a real waca:-)
We boys got it first and the thought of what we were about to witness made the sting of secondary importance.
For the record every boy was on the edge of his seat, not just to relieve the target area but to savour the experience of watching the girls get it.

The vast majority of females I know have revealed tales of slipperings and canings during their schooldays. Most only got it once. I wonder if all girls did in fact get it at school? I do know that lots of Female PE teachers were a bit iffy and used a slipper for gym punishments.

I found inflicting pain a damn sight more pleasurable than getting it! Always have done-the important part being with a willing recipient.

From the slipper point of view, I would have to have gone for the old-fashioned leather-soled bedroom slipper. It used to surprise me how easily those white plimsolls split across the sole at the top, especially compared to the black ones-and that was the sporting use, by the way!

None of the girls I did it with had been slippered beyond primary school, so it may be they had no "feel" for it. Some time ago, but using a different name, I entered a post describing an occasion in my primary school when a girl was called to the front of the class and made to bend over a chair for the slipper. The (female) teacher lifted the girl's skirt, simply because it was made of fairly thick material and would have reduced the impact too much. This happened nearly fifty years ago, in a school in north-west London (see "girls slippered in front of boys", June 24, 2004").

I mention it because the first response to the post was from our most famous sceptic:

i would like to introduce my self paul b. i have only had a computer 7 months (decided to get into the 21 century) so i am still learning the basic's. i don't write a great deal so my words don't flow like most on this site unfortunately. the senior school i attended used a lot of corporal punishment the cane but the slipper was used far more. i witnessed the cane in use lots of times on the hand also the bottom' the slipper(plimsoll) was in use at least twice a day we took it as normal occurrence. i received the slipper twice from the same teacher i was 12 the first time 14 the second time' i was never caned' slapped across the face and head a few times. before i met my wife i went out with quite a lot of girls seeing two sometimes three in the coarse of a week it got very complicated sometimes' only 6 told me of their school spanking experiences' one caned on the hand the rest got slippered all by female teachers or the headmistress'i was very interested but very embarrassed to ask them too much about it. when i met my wife i discovered to my joy she had been slippered at senior school' her friend first told me she had actually witnessed her slippering' it took me about 8 or 9 months to get all the details from her' i think we were both embarrassed but i pushed the matter' after about three years i told her of my interest' she said she allready knew and to my amazement was more than great about it. i hope i have not bored you too much i know there are like minded people who use this site' who write a lot of intresting posts

I would like to add my own personal experiances to this discussion which relates to the 1960's at a couple of north london schools, located not too far from our dear Fran.

My primary school was mostly staffed by women teachers who were ready to demonstrate the slapped legs and ruler on the hand for the slightest misbehaviour. I can very clearly remember one day meeting a couple of older boys when on a bike ride who were telling us stories of the slipper that we would be facing when we finally started secondary school and not having come across the slipper at primary school imediately thought of Dennis's dad from the beano and his tarten carpet slipper.

Once I started secondary school I didn't have long to wait before the slipper became very familar to me. Both of the PE teachers used the slipper several times each day on the boys,this could be at morning assembley or in the playground for talking in the lines before we filed back into school after break. Any misbehaviour during games or PE such as not having the correct kit required for the day or messing around and playing up, would be met with a couple of strong whacks with their slippers.Both of the PE teachers also took other lessons and would call you to the front of the class ( I was always at the back) and make you bend over in front of the class for 2 or 3 full strengh strokes. The girls sitting in the front rows seemed to love seeing some of the boys getting this treatment and although I heard rumours that they got the same from their PE mistress it unfortunatley was always in private and not in front of the class. Almost all of the male teachers slippered boys each and every day mostly in front of the class and it was quite a regular subject of discussion in the smoking bogs as to who was the worst and the teachers to avoid, with the hardest slippers.

Most of the female teachers would send you off to a male teachers class with a note for a slippering and I didn't see any of the women teachers using a slipper. There was however one female teacher who didn't need any help in maintaining class disapline.So difficult to guess her age from this distant past but she was quite attractive and around 40 ish I guess but she would just slap you across the face with her hand and leave you reeling. I was on the receiving end twice,during the years I was in her class and I don't remember many other boys getting the same treatment but it wasn't something you forgot in a hurry. It was also pretty embarrassing having her hand print clearly marked across your face for the next few hours.

The teacher i am refering to was a mrs M our history teacher, but interesting to hear that she wasn't unique in the Greater London education establisment. A interesting aside is that the rumours around the school was that she was having an affair with our PE teacher, maybe looking for a few tips about how to use the slipper.

I do recall Miss L slapping the face of a lad called B one day, she was about 5'3" and B was about 5'10" her hand must have hurt like hell as his face never moved. It certainly went red though, we were all surprised that he did not clout her one back. What a sadistic cow.

Despite which, I got expelled from Nursery school. A pushy little blonde tart didn't just want to share the sandpit-she demanded............
