Its being announced today that the unruly kids from Bash Street are in for a bashing as teachers are granted power to "frog march "disruptive pupils from the classroom (and supposedly bang their heads against the wall once outside?
And impose Saturday Detention!(heavens above! We had both Wednesday and Saturday DT)
I think this can only lead to trubble.
The average teach is not chosen for their caring sharing
attitude and its a proven fact that when humans are put in guard
over other humans especially "vulnerable" ones cruelty and abuse
often result automatically-prison camp guard syndrome.
Id be very suspicious of lifting checks and balances.
We already can see a hate filled attitude in most schools today with
power drunk teeches yelling and bawling at shivering lines of unhappy
kids to stand to attention,do this and that. Many are rather thick women.
This disrespectful and do this or else attitude is a substitute for those who cant command respect by psychologly. Its this impression that probably causes most of the "playing u"p which is really a form of hate and resentment.
Think we in for a real punch up in our worst schools with people getting injured but then again they are desperate arent they?

I would like to think that at last some common sense is prevailing here and that it would open the door for the return of the cane but the flying pig syndrome overshadows my view.

SC
PS: I read in the Express today that 12 children a year commit suicide from bullying.

More to the point who would turn up?
