Its getting kind of hard to come up with new stuff,ideas,commentary on this board dont you think?
Most aspects of CP have been covered and with little prospect of the return of the cane and the old brigade
who did get one or two strokes getting increasingly older
theres a stale kind of feel creeping in.
Where has it got us?
Some interesting aspects of local history and some quirky
reminces but little contribution from outside our core "clique".I mean your not going to get 18 year olds coming on here in full flow about the joys of CP,
Still its been interesting and I am sure they may be events in the future that are suitable commenting upon.
But they will have to be pretty big events to really get the thang dinging.
A over stuffed commercial aspect has crept into the CP world with real CP practically non existent and numerous
nefarious groups catering to perverts of means.We even have scheduled for June now a large event in the City of London called "Bums on the run"(Own website).This consists of a large number of professional women on the CP sex scene planning to run half naked through The city of London for charity ala Nude Bicycle Run.
They are to be attired in "hot pants"their buttock cheeks bare all are heavily into "Spanking"modelling and so forth.
What is the world coming to?
These wierd events seem to be gathering pace some 800
nude cyclists now have offical sanction to ride round the West End.
With 1000 CP "Channels"and nuthin on the twinge of frisson of the old days at the mere suggestion of
a "caning"sems to be vanishing at a rate of knots.

Yes the 'clique' may be small and dwindling, but better the title of this forum remains a distant memory for some, not the reality for the younger generation.

To be content in the knowledge, our generation help break that mould.

What’s rather perturbing, the number of sexual abuse cases coming to light, events that seem to occurred late 80’s just after the abolition of SCP, Could it be the few who satisfied their sexual kinks, caning a few bottoms, had to resort to something more sinister.

Music teachers especially, seem to have a special hit in the media for this sort of thing, surprising, they seemed a more docile breed of character compared a few, teaching other subjects .

I take your point, Bozo, and in many ways it's an interesting one. You're right, of course, to suggest that kids today almost certainly won't replicate the erotic charge which our generation got out of CP, simply because their childhood conditioning has been so different. (What will the 40-year olds in 25 years time have sexual fantasies about? David Beckham, perhaps?) At the same time, I think any announcement of the death of this site should be seen as premature. After all, cp in private schools in Britain was only abolished fairly recently, 1997 was it (?), so that theoretically anyone over the age of 30 or so might still have been subjected to it. I know that in state schools it was 10 or 15 years earlier, but even there we're only talking about people in their mid-40s as the cut-off age. The cultural climate is so very different these days that I sometimes think we forget how quickly it's changed, and how relatively recent many of the historical events described on this board were. It's also true, of course, that during what one might call the golden age of school CP, from the 1950s through until the early 1980s, there were no Internet links or groups of this kind available, so, however prevalent the practice may have been in real life, it was almost impossible to find fellow aficianados to discuss the subject with. Without wishing to flog a dead horse, as it were, (or indeed to mix my metaphors), my own view is that there's a bit of life in the old dog yet!

There seems to be a remarkable and growing interest among the young in M/m CP going by the personals on the SpankThis website. Many are wanting to become involved but are having trouble finding partners.

Truth is, there's now roughly a generation of people who've grown up without CP at school.

Perhaps some 10% of those would like to experience it "in the right circumstances". Perhaps even more? How shall we know if we don't keep spreading the gospel?
