1850 is alive and well at this Enormous Country Fair.Stern whip wielding Governess looking types abound. But where the rest of the clobber?
Frilly pantaloons,Birch twigs,The Schoolrooms?
Hallo was going to treat you all with a pic,so registered with Photobucket, uploaded the pic and sent you it,
BUT it shows as a Microsoft ad instead of the pic>
Help!
Can anyone advise Bozo what went wrong in simple language that he can understand?

Looks like you may have copied the page rather than the image
Right click image only Save the original pic to your personal files in the format of a gif or Jpeg . Right clicking the image, and Save As, should give you this option.
Upload to photobucket. Once uploaded Click on the picture the address will appear in the URL box below Copy the address bar by clicking on it then paste into the text box above, preview should allow you to see the image
Hope this helps.

Try this.

Bozo my friend, I have had similar problems and I found that by copying the pic and any text it may have into MS Word then save the pic to your personal files after suitably naming it for easy reference.
You can then copy the pic from your file and paste it to where youo want it to go.
Steve M did tell me I could have clicked on photobucket.com at the bottom of the message window when I needed to copy a pic. I feel you would still need to follow the above instructions to paste your pic though. I'd also try what Ketta suggested to as I feel this could be another solution to the problem.
Good luck with it.
M.

Hmmm Partial Success
June 10 2007, 6:46 PM
As you can see have had partial sucess. This is quite complicated.
But basically I succeeded in cutting and pasting the jpg.url into the box and it appeared in the text box in text. Then I simply sent it,BUT the photo came out far too small.
Also when I tried to do the same thing again repeatedly I am being hindered by the CUT and PASTE buttons greyed out all the time and inoperative!
Not sure what to try or why this all is,
any ideas?
Theres no probs getting the jpg.thumbnail photos assembled in the Photobucket preview box-theres 4 of them one with a black square around it whatever that means and 3 others, identical the result of test uploads without black squares around them. Also 1 bigger one a few inches square beneath them all.Its when I try to cut them to place the URL either in the upload box or paste it in the text box that the cut buttons are greyed out and inoperative. The copy button is OK but as the paste button is not I cannot paste anything.

And my point was er?
Oh yeah where were we now?Oh Yes old Victorian Whips, stern faces and dressage, yup its still kickin'!
But what lies BEHIND it?
Who know?
Its kind of bizarre no?
Its the old dichotomy of yes I am no I aint.
Are these displays REALLY necessary?

Where size matters
Makes you want to put down what you're doing, squeeze into a pair of jodpurs and horse around with photobucket

Well for one its a historical and sociological record of times going by,also whips for animals may soon be outlawed I hear.
Surprisingly the taut jodphurs and whip gear is getting rarer and more campy ridiculous as years go by.
However we did observe even more outrageous jodphurs that are too shocking to record.
One in particular that bulged out was a pair of minute bikini type briefs
clearly visible through semi transparent jodphurs(dont know if they had been sitting in a puddle?)barely covering an enormous fat round moon behind.!
I mean knowing that who would want to lean on the paddock rail in full view of a crowd of 10,000s with the opportunity to er...admire your huge fat backside???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yikes!Great photo the red and black are very dramatic.
However Im a little concerned at the saucy hand and feet ends on some of the whips, they look more like the kind of thing youd see on sale in a fetish shop than a respectable
family horse fair!

Fairs
June 13 2007, 11:56 AM
Co-incidentally Horse Fairs weem to be hitting the news.apparently the appleby horse fair was in the tabloids due to the accidental death of a horse and accusations of mistreatment cruelty involving whips etc.
A London radio show host went beserk last nite on his show ranting against horse fairs
and whips and so on.
Campaigners are stepping up their campaign to ban whips, horse shows and the like......
The RSPCA are involved.
Must say the pics where these were taken was all very genteel,no bare back whipping
or whatever there...........
