Monitoring UK regional CP occurrences

I am not satisfied that a comprehensive monitoring of all UK CP cases is being kept.
This is because you will find all sorts of fascinating and bizarre front page headlines
in the tiny regional rural papers dotted around the country.
The Balcome Examiner reports that some dogs attacked 16 sheep and went bananas,
now I never realised that ordinary dogs would do such a terrible thing.
The BBC and some national newspapers occassionally pick up on long serious
CP cases involving multiple abuse in care homes etc(for many years the Daily Telegraph seemed to focus on these for some reason-it reported the Spanking Colonel case)but the odd OTT smack or caning on a one off local level is being missed I fear.
Is there any co-ordinated body monitoring the local press from the Hebrides to Lands End
and if not how does one go about such a mammoth task?
Now that STOP is ended there is nothing to abolish but this does not mean that sometimes
the law is broken and the cane is used! Why does not Childline Phone In Service etc.
adopt a policy of "transparancy",after all we fund it,and report a detailed breakdown of statistics into what percentage of their calls allege that a caller is being beaten, caned etc.
or the subject of unlawful CP?And from which region or town? Why does it not publish reponsibility for cases prosecuted as on Crime watch?Furthermore what the percentage is of sex ratio men to women or even siblings who are alleged beaters? Are politics involved?Do they perhaps fear revealing a weak social services in a particular locale or fear demands for action?Any thoughts?

Newspaper cuttings

If it is any consolation, AKS have a large archive of school-related newspaper cuttings, which we hope to publish at some stage in the future, but more research is needed. We have the relevant dates of some incidences, but not the cuttings. This research may be carried out for us later this year at the British Newspaper Library for by an ex-member of staff who is currently studying at university (and therefore has plenty of time on her hands!). If and when the book is finally published, there will probably be a companion title, compiling all the correspondence generated by the incidents.

The second revised edition of The Corporal Punishment of Schoolgirls should be available later this year and reference will be made to many incidents not included in the previous editions.

Hmmm, yes I am aware of your publications and very interesting they are too.Thank you for notifying us of your intended schedule,we shall
await it with interest,
Glad to hear your female C.P researcher is getting along at a cracking pace,
sadly I myself am banned from the Special Book Section of The British Library
after an incident in the cloakroom involving 12 Union members of staff and my new Hat.An ear of whcih was torn off by a careless cloakroom clerk who then tried to cover up by disregarding and lying about the incident.
However before being banned I did ascertain that the Special case holds a complete collection of such magazines as Janus Spanking Magazine which may be got out in huge heaps and consulted. However be warned the irksome staff regularly patrol past you to make sure you are not getting too much into things with your pencil. You may also be subjected to s******s from the book delivery staff who are surly lackeys and go as slow as possible using evey opportunity to question and delay delivery on instructions from their Union supervisors.if you can put up with all this you will also find 19th Century rare erotic flaggelatio literature for the reading in profusion.

BOZO

It contains an offensive word within. Just so, the town with Lincolnshire's leading steelworks, and which has just won promotion to football's 2nd tier for the first time in 40-odd years.

That's political correctness for you. I suppose low laughter must automatically come from racists, of course.

Janus-remember that!! Nothing like as good as the made-up reader's letters in Playboy, though-even Lotta would have NEARLY taken the bait!

S****horpe??

June 27 2007, 9:47 AM

I thought that was a joke, until I asked my teacher.

If typhoo put the T in Britain, who put the C--t in S****horpe?

Result taken into cloakroom, two strokes of the cane!!She had no sense of humour.

And I have lots of the Early Janus Mags if anyone is looking for one to complete a set.

Happy days.
from one of Quintin Davis,s constituents.

The Pennines

June 29 2007, 1:04 AM

Yes we know all about Sc*nthorpe, but did you know about the Yorkshire town of Penistone, which is on the Trans-Pennine Cycle Trail which also visits Wombwell and Broadbottom?

On a different thread, glad to see someone else remembers the glories of Derek Dougan and John Richards together in the forward line at Molineux. Magic!

I don't believe it!

June 29 2007, 9:04 PM

I've even been there twice on abandoned railway quests & just never thought about it!

Mind you, that won't upset Muslims, probably!

And, on the other subject, had Peter Knowles not concentrated on finding God, but the back of the net, you'd have had 2 League Titles between 72 & 75,I reckon.
