In the light of the figures on today's news, anyone think it's time to sue the Catholic church re the CP they suffered?

We are talking about £525 million,from the church in LA alone!

Or would being spanked by a nasty nun be covered by the small print-An act of God, my child?

I was never spanked by the good nuns (That sort of thing was reserved for high school with the good Brothers who wielded a wicked strap.) No, the good nuns weren't that sophisticated in grade school. They would just throw things at you, bang heads together, bang heads against the chalk board, pinch you or make you kneel in the corner for an hour. Ah the nostalgia of Catholic education. Should I be happy that I wasn't one of the cute boys who never got offered special attention and invited for rides in his car by one of the parish priests like some of the other boys did? Or should I feel slighted and perhaps $1,000,000 poorer?

That's 500 who were willing to come forward and admit they were molested as children and it only deals with one diocese in the U.S., the Diocese of Los Angeles.

So how many kids need to be molested for it not to be considered "not bad"?

oh.how many diocese are there?are they all going to come to court?
whats is the defintion of molestation?
breakdown by seriousness of offence?
itd take a full time researcher to dig it all out?

Bozo, why do I suspect that if it were you or your child who had been molested by a trusted parish priest that you wouldn't be so confused and have so many questions.

Kompensatiun society comes to mind. Lots of people jumping on the band wagon in the hope of getting a few sovs.
