School Disco

Yes School Disco too has piqued my curiosity so much so that I betook myself down to the exterior of one large event one Saturday Night.
The streets around the venue were dark dingy and unlit.
The gutters filthy and littered with old beer cans.
Soon the "School Discoers"arrived. Most were aged 21 something. Some were pushing 30 or 40.They for some reason were constantly very very noisy.Whooping and yelling all over the place. Most looked pissed or soon would be as they packed out the local pubs with ear splitting disco music as they got drunker an drunker. All seemed to be vigourous chain smokers. It wqs dark now.The guys looked like they had an IQ of about 110 and had completed perhaps 3 O levels and maybe the odd single A level. They looked like off duty Dixons Sales clerks. The girls were dressed up "sexily"but many were fat,too fat or far too skinny to be very attractive.the costumes tendedtowards the cheapskate.A huge line formed outside the venue.I had to dodge a beer can as it was chucked up into the air by a drunken guy,an air of aggression was palpable to the whole tawdry event.the noise never quieted.
My impression was these people all had serious personality and or substance abuse problems in their infancy. They were completely unaware of how to behave and seemd to have no morals and no conscience.Issues like SM and adult spanking seemed a million miles away.Theyd probably elicit the response "am I bovvered"?It was more a "Clubbing"event in School clothing than a "School"event in Clubbing guise.

You mean you don't think this looks like a classy way to spend an evening? <VBG>

I didn't understand your comment; "The guys looked like they had an IQ of about 110..."
An IQ of 100 is dead average and 110 is at the upper limits of the average range. And what the hell are 3 0 levels? <G> And inquiring Yank wants to know.

Oh well dont take it too seriously-I deal in spicy controversy from time to time,
O levels stand for "ordinary"level.A level means "advanced".
They are the standard UK school benchmark exams for 14-15 year olds.
(3rd grade USA?)
To get no O levels mean you are retarded a dim wit.You become a Meths addict or a dustbin man.
To get one or two a slacker or drop out.
To get a load 7 or more means you are a Harry Twatter swot and can go onto the Sixth form to take A levels,
or get a job in a bank or The Royal Airforce as long as you havnt smoked cannabis.
When you get 3 A levels you leave skool or go on to "Higher education"
a college or University. However this might blow your brain or set back your career because you tend to pick up a lot of anti cpaitalist invective.
IT might be better to become a Management Trainee.
There are 2 kinds of O levels.
Hard and easy
The easy ones are called "CSEs"(certificate of Secondary Education"which means the state has tried to "educate"you)
the hard ones are used by posh private schools and are caled "GCEs"(General Certificate of Education). They are for swats and folks with an IQ above 100.
They reckon a Grade 1 CSE is equivalent to a grade 7 GSE!
Thus a Grade 1 GCE is off the scale for CSE takers!
The GCE people use very strict exam boards the most notorious of which is the Oxford and Cambridge(O&C)examination Board. This is composed of academics from Oxford and Cambridge but has nothing to do with entry to those UNiversities. Its GCE O levels are very very hard to pass.

grades or not and other answers

Bozo my boy, you have not mentioned the 'Common Entrance Exam' that lots of fee paying schools use or used. I always wanted to know what that was?

I was caned by a female teacher, three strokes on the trousered bottom.

Mum kept a school cane at home, she attempted to use it on me but I refused to bend over.So mum got a friend to use it.(I was twelve at the time) A lady friend, and for some reason I just bent over and let her cane me.

Unfortunately I faied most of my exams, despite being swotty top of the class many times.
However an IQ of 130 has allowed moi to succede in anything I have ever wanted to succede at.
The problem with school subjects are that they are not vocational. They give a general education which is of little use in life.
Passing lots of exams is an excellent way to become a know all know nothing teacher.
Now if the quallification to be a teacher was 10 years of practical experience in the subjects they wanted to pass the benifits of their wisdom on about.............
My attache sleeps.

DD.
Here in Lincolnshire during the fifties and sixties I can assure you every classroom had a cane on show, I had two female teachers as a junior both of whom used the cane on my bottom.
