Maybe a topic that history buffs may b interested but I have fished around medieval history and discovered a jesuit priest who used to spank penintents and Saint Elizabeth of Hungary who was given regular spankings as penance for sins by her confessor. I can't recall their names of the confessor and the priest though I can look it up.
