I read a reply by Paul B on another thread about witnessing CP which reminded me of an incident when I was in year 8.

Paul, your post about your wife watching through the corridor window revived an old memory. We were in art class and as usual left to our own devices while the old are teacher was in the back room perusing the latest edition of Playboy circa March 1966 while having a cuppa and a Camel-the only cigarettes with the factory on the pack-a picture of a Camel.

There was a mass strapping being carried out in the hallway-something unusual for my school as most strappings occured in the classroom. There were about 15 boys lined up waiting their impending doom.

One of the kids, Paul Salamy (real surname) got excited for some reason. Being the deviat that he was, he stood up on his chair to get a better view of what was going on in the hallway and giving the class a running commentary.

He didn't see old man Ross who unexpectedly came out of the back room.

He was called out the front and given four cuts for his voyurism. That was the highlight of the lesson and I remember him being laughed at as he hoped about shaking and blowing on his hands.

It wasn't long before he was at it again. everytime someone got belted in the classroom, his eyes were glued to the action.

However, it didn't hold the same fascination for him when he was on the receiving end a belting.
