Does anyone know what has happened to Friends Reunited? The whole site has been rejigged (yet again) and the message boards have disappeared. If you look up a school you just get a list of former pupils. The photos are still there but little else. The people who run that site really are fools, as someone once pointed out on this forum. They are also obnoxious and irresponsible. A priceless research resource for sociologists has been lost forever. I am sick of the way they constantly change the site without offering so much as a word by way of explanation or information. They should all be caned or, in the case of the females, slippered in green knickers.

Which is probably webspeak for "It's gone for now, and people will soon forget it was there, and we don't intend to put it back again." Ever since it was sold to ITV,(a British TV channnel for our foreign guests), it has slowly gone down the toilet. Call me an old cynic, but I've seen it all before. Time will tell...

Cant say Ive a personal gripe with FRU but it did seem pretty useless
I mean I wriggled with shame at the thought of contacting 50+grumpy men who were once 15 year old angels in my school class.I prefer to remember them how they were.

Went to a few reunions via FR, met some old pals going back nearly half century, good thing was everyone seemed to have done okay for themselves, bad thing it all went nowhere long term.

I'll be well peed off if that IS the end of memories on it, as I did a good dozen profiles of masters on Maidstone Grammar School, most affectionate tributes, too!

I think they should compensate me by allowing me to choose one dozen girls from their dating site. Ones that I fancy & whose knickers(or probably thongs-yuk!!)need lowering, so they can receive a deserved spanking, for looking minxy,horny or both, before they are then rodgered.

Mind you, I haven't run this idea past Sarah yet!
