Could Big John do me a favour? We haven't heard anything from
Danny for quite sometime and I know he hadn't been too well,
is there a way of finding out if he's OK?
If anyone can help in this area Big John's the man.

Big John - he’s the man…sometimes. But at the moment he is on holiday in Peacehaven and so it has fallen to me to answer your question.

Unfortunately we have no means of contacting Danny: he never included his email address. You may recall he resigned from the Forum on more than one occasion and that there were difficulties with the renewal of his subscription.

I’ve noticed Danny’s absence, believe Steve M or Mike were in contact with Danny by email.

Failing that there is a possible way, but can’t be discussed here.

Ketta, I just thought I'd reply to your post for courtasy reasons.

Danny and I communicated up to around last November or December if memory serves me correctly. His e-mails then ceased. I wrote to him 3 more times and heard nothing so I stopped writing as I felt he may have not wanted to correspond any further. I have to say I was a bit surprised by him not replying as I felt he was a friendly person.

The last time I heard from Danny he told me he had been on a trip but as I am unfamiliar with your country I didn't know where the place he mentioned was. I have a feeling it was near the sea and perhaps near Wales.

I had mentioned my 3 e-mails and no response to Paul after he asked me if I had heard from Danny. I then asked Steve and was told the same thing.

I am meeting with Paul and Steve in October, and when making these arrangements we all wondered if Danny might like to join us in Bristol but the boys hadn't heard anymore from him either. Danny had indicated to me he wasn't very well but I don't know what he was suffering from. I wondered if this may have had something to do with why he had not contacted any of us.

I just hope wherever he is, he's alright.

I too was in contact with Danny by email.
The last time I received one was just before
Christmas, no response since.
He did say he had been unwell, but was feeling
better now.
I think we all would like to know if he's OK.

Just noticed this thread and feel very touched that you have been enquiring after me!

I was rushed into hospital at the end of last year and was in a pretty bad way for a few weeks and when I eventually got out my place had been done over - lost a lot of gear including my PC. I didn't bother about it and only bought another one a month or so ago.

I'm feeling back to my old self now, thanks very much for thinking about me, Paul. Started fishing again a few months back but haven't caught too much except a lotta lotta bass!
