Time for this forum to close?

Just about everything that can be said about school CP has been said, and a lot more besides. Fantasy has been mixed with fact. Apart from a few notable gems, most is dross. Perhaps the forum should close?

I agree to a certain extent, but perhaps we could extend the scope of this forum my combining it with a forum on origami.

For those who do not know what origami is, it is the ancient Japanese art of paperfolding. I know a lot of the contributors out there are already familiar with www.paperfolding.org which is an excellent web site, but there is definitely room for another similar website out there. I am also quite sure there will be no shortage of sponsors. What say you?

Starting up a new forum is not as easy as it sounds. I am currently staying with my parasitic leaching cousin Celine and her spineless excuse for a boy friend Asquith aka Cecil. Now young Asquith who suffers from delusions of adequacy is trying to start up a new web site. However he is about as sharp as a bowling ball and has all the personality of a dial tone. Consequently he is starting to unravel. My other cousin Carlita is as about as useful as a pair of horn rimmed contact lenses. The only consolation is that Abbey the moocher has been keeping quite a low profile lately, but she is more sneaky than a bus load of weasels and is only biding her time. However, apart from that everything is fine. Anyway good luck in your new venture.

I strongly disagree with anybody that suggests that this forum should close. While I agree there are some very boring topics, such as those on discrimination male of teachers, alternatives to c.p. etc. which are disgraceful and an affront to our collective dignity. But you cannot expect every topic to be interesting.

I must say that Esmerelda is quite the wit. She has more one liners than Phyllis Diller. If there were more posters like her instead of the dross who post the boring topics that I mentioned before, then this forum would be going ahead in leaps and bounds. I think the overwhelming consensus is to keep the forum but cull the dross.

Thank you Brianne for those very kind words of encouragement. Yes I agree with you 100%. If there was a Richter scale for boredom and irrelevance then those two topics you mentioned would chart off the scale. We should also mention our China plates from down under. They make Asquith look like a member of Mensa.

But in life you must take the bad with the lousy and there are some other posters who need to come under scrutiny as well. There are of course those shining lights such as your very good self who constantly deliver gold rather than the ultimate dross such as that topic involving nude swimming. That was the supreme insult to the collective intelligence of most of the contributors to this forum, not to mention the rest of humanity. Still it often takes 100 tonnes of rock to produce a few ounces of gold. Good luck and keep posting

Bye for now

Absolutely not. This forum is one of the best of its kind.

Sure there are a few very average commodities out there who would not know wood from canvas. But then again there are some new vibrant young women who have really elevated the tone of this forum.

There have been some very boring topics such as that concerning discrimination against male teachers (Yawn!!!) and that other drivel about alternative c.p., not to mention nude swimming, and yes of course our ocean liners from the dominions who need a reality check etc.

Yes there are a lot of merchant bankers lurking in cyberspace, so you have to expect this type of codswallop occasionally. However I find that these type of posters are soon swept into the delousing station of history.

I would be happy for this Forum to close. Renewing subscriptions is not what they call in Thornton Heath a 'fun job'.

Get real. There is no way in the wide world that this forum should close. It is one of the best run forums on the web.

Admittedly the odd porky gets past the censor, but that is what freedom of speech is all about. With our current batch of highly educated young women we now have a realistic perspective of what is fact and what is fiction.

There are still a few relics of the past that seem to think it was acceptable for a non-female teacher to inflict c.p. on a girl, but the tide is slowly turning. Also there are a few off topic messages, some of which are too boring to mention, but the brilliant postings from Esmerelda and her merry band of upbeat and sophisticated young women soon expose the shlockmiesters for what they are: completely irrelevant. I think this forum should stay put. Anybody who says otherwise is a very cynical and petty individual.

This forum is for the exchange of information regarding actual CP of pupils in schools.
It is not for anyone to judge the right or wrongs, it is supposed to be factual.
The only problems with this forum of late is that idiots who are possibly pretending to be that which they are not have written utter tripe.
The subs man has exposed some of the more obvious culprits.
If you have nothing positive to add then please go away.

First may I please pay my respects to Big Ray's Old Mum. Ma'am, your attendance here does us all great honour, and I for one very much appreciate it. I am sorry that you have been disturbed, but clearly a topic of such gravity cannot be allowed to pass without your esteemed comments.

I would not normally feel qualified to add my own humble input to a thread of such magnitude, impacting as it does the very future of this estimable Forum. However I note that several of our recent crop of fun posters, with considerably less 'form' than me, have not hesitated to add their two penn'orth, and to my amazement most of them have requested that the Forum continue. Perhaps my judgement of them has been too harsh, or maybe they just want somewhere to continue their silly games. I leave the decision on that to those better qualified than me.

I note Subscription Manager's comment. I hope that he is aware that at least one beneficiary of this estimable Forum is both concious of the huge burden he bears and and extremely grateful for his efforts. I try to acknowledge this each time I seek his assistance. In my opinion the sheer volume of fun posting currently extant would more than justify him blocking some IP addresses and thus reducing his workload, even if only slightly. I know that he does not wish to do this, but sometimes needs must!

For myself I very much hope the Forum will continue, preferably minus fun posters, but if needs be with them. If there is anything I can do to assist with any of the more mundane administrative tasks, thus relieving some of the burden on the over-stressed Senior Management Team, my previous offer of help is still on the table.

Big Rays old mum, any chance you can let us know about Rays SCP experiences or did he "twat" the teachers?
