Particularly as You, I and Soooze did most to rid this forum of the bloody leg-smacking trolls! Which were a serious insult to the intelligence, unlike Doc, who is not that in a million years!

Just one question-is Doc a product of the 2 sharpest tools in the Forum tool box ie Alan_Turing and your good self??

If I don't ask, I shall never know!!

Hi Steve. First, let me say that I'm dreadfully sorry. I've just wheeled out my old 'leg smacking' story yet again to illustrate a point in a discussion with Mimi elsewhere. I hope that it is in a slightly different class to the 'leg-smacking trolls' you refer to and whom we battled so successfully to oust, but if not I trust that you'll forgive me!

I hope very much that you'll find the 'peace treaty' possible to accept. Absolutely no change in our personal relationship (always one for the good of the Forum, as witness the above ) if you don't though.

Thank you for the compliment. Totally unjustified in my case! I think you already know the answer to your query re Doctor Dominum. I can't speak for Mr Turing, though I suspect that like me he'll deny any involvement. In fact, like Mimi, Doctor Dominum goes way back into the mist shrouded origins of this estimable Forum, long before I came on the scene.

I think there's a lot of wisdom in A_L's proposal. One might put forward the following notion:

The worth of an argument should be measured by the quality of its ideas, not by the identity of its proposer.

It has always been clear to me that the person posting under the pseudonym Doctor Dominum lives in Australia, and knows a great deal about teaching and educational psychology. Surely nobody would deny that. (And, by the way, I know nothing about educational psychology -- I'm flattered by the suggestion that I'm involved in some kind of hoax, but I assure you that's not the case!) And for much of the time, that's all readers would need to know. The views of such a person are, in my opinion, of value.

So I, for one, would be happy with the proposal. I know that Mimi has a different issue, but perhaps he would nevertheless be willing to go along with the proposal.

Just to confirm I have two issues with the doc.
One that if he was genuine that he is a danger to children
Two that he is a time wasting fantasist.
I am more than pleased to find that he is the later.
Totally discredited.
All his nonsence is internet based plaguarism.
