Teacher Chatboard

To my knowledge the most reliable (relatively free of Lotta Nonsense) can be found here. If you go to the the bottom left hand corner check AK or MS and you will find entries that will give the UK an ongoing account of what is happening in the states. Watch for postings in this thread to keep updated.

that's very wrong enough already

Another chatboard. It is interesting that some teachers are taken aback when learning that paddling occurs in a school. I'm sure TWP is no stranger to chatboards and that some posters are posers but I think this is authentic and would agree with me that is an authentic poster. Does this estimable Forum agree? This along with the Mississipi Teacher Corps (MTC) reaction upon entering a school system that has CP also may be worth commenting upon here as well that may have encountered simlar situations during the caning days. Surely some novices may have found themselves reluctant? Would Dr Dominum have any experience in this regard? This too may prove helpful here in the States. Archaic and unproductive as it may seem to her other young teachers like Kelia Foster from MTC and TWP are not lightweights gathering from their resumes.

High School Tardies

November 26 2009, 12:38 AM

I'll be back Monday. Some may be unaware but Thanksgiving Day is second only to Christmas as a family day. It hearkens back to the pilgrim landing on 1620 at Plymouth dock and the harvest festival that the Native Americans and the Pilgrims shred so it's gobble gobble gobble down the turkey here.

Check the bottom link for the 11/23 recent posting from Mr Watson.

prof n you mentioned the problem of tardies in a recent post. Either it is a Lotta Nonsense poster or it is the real McCoy. There are some schools that have some parity of gender and these stats bear that out.

If you notice in my matrix I do not have tardy as an offense meriting paddling. If Jessica can rack up 7 tardies and Nancy can rack up 4 tardies something is radically wrong. Halter asked Nancy what period and she said first ergo late for the start of school but tardy also means lingering in the hallway after the bell. With little high school experience (work study release) that drove me crazy because it disrupted the class and for them was like walking in late to a movie. Juniors and seniors were eligible for the program. Girls were by far the worst offenders. Being late for school didn't matter because first they reported to homeroom. I did not punish (CP not an option) them for I was little more than a substitute on the totem pole. Lunch detention to Saturday School spectrum of sanctions to offenses may do the trick. It sure would cut back all those corporal punishment forms.

The Teacher Chatboard has recently reopened the question of high school tardy after a dormant period.

The numbers I saw for my school last year were, in number of paddlings:

9th grade boys: 109
9th grade girls: 66

10th grade boys: 98
10th grade girls: 70

11th grade boys: 74
11th grade girls: 101

12th grade boys: 70
12th grade girls: 114

Of these, about 90% of corporal punishment of girls was related to excess
tardies, and 75% for boys.

Taken from previously posted under Keep It Real

Here are the stats for last year. There are a about 1800 students in the school.

Total paddlings:

9th grade boys: 168
9th grade girls: 85

10th grade boys: 138
10th grade girls: 103

11th grade boys: 128
11th grade girls: 151

12th grade boys: 119
12th grade girls: 176

This was posted on 11/19/09 so I thought it was worth sharing. What makes this probable Lotta Nonsense posting interesting is that there is reason to believe that prof n lady principal friend may be a pioneer with the brace position (safer but no more modest by Paula's standards). Melanie sounds like a man fantasizing. IMHO often times they shut the thread when they know the "pesters" are not posting from AK when they are talking about an incident in their state as they do from time to time post Booneville or the teachers themselves smoke it out. This is not a mistaken identity so it doesn't qualify for the oldest student thread Unless it was by mutual consent we are talking a big time sexual harrassment suit.

It's all right for Renee to try it at home with her husband's "scientific experiment" with an elementary school paddling. Charley Pride song: "What goes on behind close doors". For her sake I hope she doesn't play the part of Nashia. Ouch happy.gif

AK has far more references than MS. Just a heads up in addition to yanking threads they make them inaccessible without registration. It got off the wall with Booneville. Although it was interesting if overloaded. prof n. Instructions for bending over almost always involved chairs or desks readily available in an office. Megan below post doesn't simply say bend over but mentions instructions without explaining them. Hers is more credible with the addition of the computer reference so too bad for the pencil pushers. happy.gif The brace position was a hallway paddling that has gone out of fashion in spite of its recent reference or as Paula Flowe video showed her jutting her not so unattractve fifty year old buttocks out to indicate how vulgar (porno) she considered this pose. I am surprised she hasn't given a demonstration using Curtis Weathers at six foot six inches and three hundred pounds as a paddler and become a true martyr for the cause. wink.gif

MS has a discussion right up to 11/27/09 recently posted here indicating the frequency of girls being paddled in the 11th and 12th grades. It is my opinion that high school tardies (you Google it in states that do not paddle with Saturday School after ten tardies) are a big problem. Rarely do you see such high numbers among schools that practice corporal punishmnent given their handbook. We have no way of knowing for sure because the numbers indicate those paddled and not incidences.

It is out of control and quite frankly somewhat unfair to girls for men have out door plumbing with urinals and often go to the restroom together. When did last see two men excused themselves in a restaurant or spend as much time looking at the mirror or seen a line waiting to get into the mens room. Jenny I can't change that nor would I if I were God. wink.gif

There are two bells (warning & door closing). Now here is the problem what teachers define as excused or unexcused and what game clock is the teacher playing by? Cutting class and being truant are causes for paddling but subjectivity precludes paddling for tardies IMHO. I don't find Melissa previous post credible unless she was very attracted to the coach in which case I would dock her a day's pay as principal for missing the day after for her after school experiment or if she is so inclined I would give her the option to up the ante from three to five licks. happy.gif

Below posts Student Teacher and fat coach sings the praises of CP which IMHO are not without merit and are certainly applicable to the many accounts given here. The applicants and recipients understandable prefer to be anonymous and doesn't always mean they are pesters. When the first and last name are used it more often than not aghast at CP or are calling for the end of the discussion. Our "friend" Jordan Riak has jumped in and I wonder when was the last time he was inside a classroom? The eggheads usually have Dr. like Dr Sherry Lancaster in front of their names unlike our inimitable Dr Dominum happy.gif
