Looking for info on a 70 cobra scj

Hi, I'm new to this site and I have learned so much about these cars already just from reading this info (great site!).

I'm looking for some info on my fathers 1970 Cobra Torino that he bought new in 70 but sold in 1983. His 60th birthday is coming up in July, and my mother and I, along with my 2 siblings would like to see if we can track down this car and possibly purchase it if it even still exists. I have tried to run a carfax report on it, but it doesn't have any info for older cars, nor any car without a 17 digit VIN.
Is there any other way of finding out if the car still exists?

I was also wondering about the rarity of his cobra. I know they only made 7675 cobras in 1970, but how many were made with the factory drag pack? I have heard that only about 2000 were produced with the drag pack, is that accurate?
Also, how many were Vermillion w/ black interior?

I appreciate any help on this matter, as this car has a TON of emotional ties for him and loads of family history.

The VIN from it is: 0A38J221803

Again, any info is GREATLY appreciated!

I'm currently still searching for my father's Torino Cobra. Does anyone know how I can find out if the car still exists? I have the VIN code, is there a registry out there somewhere?

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated!
