My buddy just cut up the car you are talking about for demo derby! Dark blue car with orange and white decals! It was a 351 W floor console car. even had factory 3.25's t loc in the rear. Rust free car. It was a WASTE! McGoo
you could get in black with orange stripes ? I recall one in my town , it had factory mags with black insides and a silver star like look . Haven't seen one in ages but if I do I will keep you in mind E.J. ....Mike
EJ, I will keep an eye out here for you, I see some red ones...............

in junk yards from time to time. Never know. Not to add to your tears but that idiot threw all the interior parts in the trash. Had I know he was going to do that I would have saved the console and stuff. What really pissed me off is he said it wasnt a very good derby car! What an A-- hole! McGoo
circa 1989. 351w 2v, a/c, tilt, am/fm casette, rallye dash, arm rest buckets, red cloth interior, delay wipers, original painted magnums, HUGE sunroof, biggest i have ever seen. sold it while going to ferris state, when gas got up to "gasp!" 1.26 a gallon.
those are an overlooked car-nice lines. you mentioned a huge sunroof-are they the same as a 77 lincoln mk 5? i had one of them and remember a vast sunhole in the roof. i bet a 460 and lincoln rear disks would bolt in with a off the shelf parts.
Oh those LTD II's bring back memories. In the summer of 1977 I worked for company by the name of American Hatch Top….this was when T-Tops and Popup Sunroofs were all the rage. I’ll never forget going to the Ford dealer and driving one of those brand new LTD II’s…. as we called them “Starsky and Hutch Dream Machines” back to the shop and cutting out the roof for the T-Tops. Oh, don’t worry we did it to a lot more of those “new” 77-Z-28’s ..man I used beat on those things, I’ll never forget the disappointment the first time I nailed one of those….whatta D.O.G
The funniest thing we did that summer is some dude wanted t-tops in his brand new Cadillac Eldorado, after we cut the roof out for t-tops the doors wouldn’t open until we jacked up the center of the car with floor jacks until it bowed back and then put the t-top frames in. I always wondered how long that car would last with those cheesey extruded aluminum frames acting as such an integral part of the car.
This experience made me never own a car with t-tops or sunroof in my life!
