I would like to put headers on my 69 Torino GT with a 351C (yea I know its not the right engine)...It has power steering and a column shift FMX auto....In order to get headers on I believe I need to get a floor shifter for the tranny and get a bracket for the Power Steering piston...Can anyone confirm? Also does anyone have a floor shifter with linkage? If not does anyone know if this will work?

Thanks!

69 Torino 351C and headers

July 21 2007, 4:12 PM

I did almost the exact thing that you were asking about. my installation included a 351C 4V, A C6 transmission, and power steering.. absolutely no supplier of headers would commit a yes or no answer to the question of fit, until i contacted "Sanderson". They assured me that theirs would work and they did, very well. You are correct on the power steering actuator needing a bracket, but they are inexpensive. The floor shifter was in my car when i got it.
