Hi guys.

So far I've moaning about the worst Audi dealer ever! What about the best? In your personal experiences, who do you find to be the most competent Audi dealers around?

This will be quite useful for the guys sending their cars in for services and for people looking to buy Audis.

Hi there

Lets split this into pre and post salesman service and then service center service.

I can comment on Audi Bruma, the assistance i got from the sales lady was very good,
I actually have to seend my TDI for a oil service in 900km so would like to see what the guys think about Bruma and Glen?

I used to take my Golf 4 to The Glen. Their service is excellent but I haven't had any experience with the Audi guys there. I am planning to take my Audi there for services.

Best dealer was the old Mooi Street Audi.

These days I use East Rand Mall.

Germiston is hopeless at best - would never let them have my Audi again.

Audi Culemborg... are a pretty vanilla dealership... there second hand sales section is dodgy....
as for service I have found it to be average.. after service phone call.. but no special treatment.. I still belive my to young and lower end car does not grab there attention..

For service It seems Audi Sandton is very good. At least when they know the client. I too am not happy with 4Ways service.

On the other when it comes to sales Micky at 4Ways is the best x 4. She know her stuff and goes out of her way to meeet your request (which apparently she calls "demands" when it comes to yours truly...!!!??? oh really ).

I have no choice but to take it back to those useless okes at Westrand because it's under warranty for 30 days. Probably going in tomorrow.

Once that's over I'll probably take it to The Glen because it's close to my home.

I rate Barons Woodmead for servicing. Pradeep rocks. As far as there dealer etiquette goes, pretty average. They're good, but nothing you think back on..
New car sales at Fourways seems to rock. Try Mark or Micky..
They'll go out of their way to try make the deal sweet for you, and they're great people to deal with.
Patient, and not just after the quick sale.

Jees I hope they're reading this. Discount....discount...discount!

Oh ja, went to the BMW 1 series press launch last night...yawn.. nice launch...boring car..yawn.

Hi,

Can't comment on the new or used vehicle salesmen - haven't dealt with them a lot. They look grumpy, specially of you were jeans and a T-shirt.

The DP and Sales-manager go out of their way to make me a happy customer, always getting a loan car (nice ones!). Recently I'm driving one of their TT's as a loaner.

Service manager and advisors are good and give feedback.

Technicians - excellent for normal issues and services, but if it gets to really tricky stuff it seems as if they refer it to ERM.

Have used them for two-years now and never had problems with my previous A3, my sisters A3 and the S3.

They are very conveniently located for me - on my way to work.

My 10cents

Alex

Hi Alex

Who at the Glen do you normally deal with since it seems the experience alot of the time is dependent on who your first contact is,

as for the second hand guys, agree with what you said, B4 i bought my Tdi the guy actually told me dont since it is not worth te money, now excuse me, as a sales man i would have guesed that everything on his floor should be the best deal in its class for him, his view to customer.

anyhow.

I had my TT at germiston and ERM audi, will never go back to germiston, my verdict is still out on ERM audi the last two times i took my car there they made me feel as if i am wasting their time. they replaced the haldex controller and gave me my car back with an oil leak on the rear diff, when i took it back to them the technician Andy seemed like he was doing me such a big favour to look at my car. When I got back to ERM audi at 5pm i was told that they haven't looked at my car yet it was there since 7.30am. when i asked to speak to the DP he was out playing golf. I was told that the cars coming in for services were more important than mine with an oil leak!!
Anyway it seems like Andy has left ERM audi so hopefully when my car goes in for its 60000km services next month i will get better service.
ERM audi sales side always seems friendly though been called to test drive the S4 when it first came on the market and to test drive the 3.2 TT.

Well for 2nd hand deals, I rate Tracey at Audi Bruma - she's always put me in a good car, with No hassles - even Mr Revo was amazed when he VAG-commed it and got no errors...

For service again Bruma is the only place to sort out problems first time, and I would avoid 4ways like the plague - except to buy a new car of course, though to date they have not been able to beat Bruma's deals for me.

But alas Menlyn is my service centre, but only out of location - they're the closest, but nothing to write home about...

cheers

For those on the list in the E Cape, Tavcor Audi in PE gets a high rating. They dont mess around. You ask for a decent 2nd hand car, you get one.
Service is excellent. I get a loan car each time if i ask, no hassels (I live 120km away).

Their follow up is good and they return calls too.

Speak to Bjorn if you want to buy, and Liezl for the finances. The service manager (Lukas) is clued up and the chap (Nico) that worked on my car is very clued up on Audi's.

Why I say that is that I took it in to fix where some of the pink coolent was leaking from one of the pipes, and they ended up repalcing my radiator as well, as I hadnt seen a leak there (thank God for the FWP). And when i took delivery of the car Nico chatted to me and said that "have I noticed" a vibration at 3000 rpm in the exhaust. Must admit I had, but in the rush, I forgot to ask, and like most dealers these days, they dont do more than what they asked to do. Yet Nico did, explaining that a bracket had come loose and was vibrating. It's that attention to detail that I appreciate.

So for now, 100% rating in my books for Tavcor Audi in PE.

Cheers
John
