It is officialy B7 which seems like a marketing ploy to fight against the New 3 series coming soon and even though the changes appear cosmetic the chasis has been tweeked and there is a whole new range of engines therefor new platform....pitty that the old B6 had such a short life span therefor it does affect our trade in resale values where as a Facelift would not have made such a big difference So the B6 platform must be the shortest car model apart from the Toyota Camry that gets a new platform every 2 years
The current BM 3 series is in its 6th year where the A4 was launched late 2001 and has already been replaced in Europe by the NEW B7 that must eighter be Vorsprung or Big Insecurity on Stuttgard's part
