This is for the Gauteng members.... What is happening with the Club members from Gauteng? There is absolutly no response from u guys. The only response we got was from the same chaps who supported us in Margate. We in KZN is very keen to meet u guys and we are putting in a lot of commitment for the Harrismith event. We uderstand if U don't want to race at Harrismith, at least come for the evening and shoot the breeze with us. Maybe u guys can show us a few tricks and share some useful information. We all support the same club ..
Come on Gauteng join KZN for a fun week-end.

Well, for one - I am not interested in going somewhere for a drag race on what is by all accounts a very substandard strip.
If it were perhaps a nice weekend away at a better resort I would be the first to sign up. As it is placed at the moment it is not targetted at me. Perhaps other members, but not me.
Plus it is a bit late in the year to be organising this. We all have various company/club/asscociation events etc. Its thus a bit difficult to give over a full weekend.
There is, however, a good chance that I will drive down for the Saturday.

Come on guys were's the club spirit, Harrismith is not only about guys that want to try their cars out, it's about meeting fellow Audi fans and guys that sit on the Forum, getting to know ppl, and we might learn stuff from one another. Also credit needs to be given to speedcop he spends alot of time, money and effort trying put together events and uses all his contacts and resources to make these events happen. So please dont shoot the guy down for the timing as a majority choice was that date. So I make a plea to the guys as part of the Audi club of SA, lets stop talking about being part of the club and start doing stuff to be part of the Club.
Thanks again to the guys that have confirmed, I hope Sherwin you are one of them, love to see the M3 launch ,especially when you get it right

Am not shooting anyone down Wild. As one of the members that does more than most for the club I know what it takes to organise a meeting. I just had my say, pretty much as I always do.
I hope that the weekend will be a success. I will certainly do my best to drive down for the day and hope that there will be more of the quarter mile club attending the weekend as a whole.

Major, point taken, I do see that some members play a bigger part then others but I feel, that this is our first joint event and we should get as many guys as possible to attend.
my 2 cents

If any of you is serious about going to Harrismith, plrease contact Thierry at thierry@audiclubsa.org.za, with regards to accomodation etc....
This not just a case where you can casually rock up or not, as if you were going to Wesbank. Accomodation has to be booked, the KZN guys need to know for sure how many are coming and so on.
