Some nice news,

it seems on the 2.5 tdi it does not require the 7500KM oil chance,

apparently the oil they use is so expensive/high quality that it only does the normal 15 000 km service.

double checked it with Sandton Audi after the Glen informed me Saturday morning of the fact that i dont require a service.

Dude,

I suggest you change at least the filters, especially after all that smoke I threw your way the other night!!!

But are you sure about this, and why the 2.5 and not the 1.9?

I know the golf 4 is 15000 and the golf 5 is 7500, so if VW is reducing intervals, it don't make sense for Audi to increase theirs...

Or maybe its because you're using Jet A1?

Cheers

i also could not believe it,

but that is what the service man told me saturday (after FWP told him) so i phoned Sandton this morning and they confirmed it.

as for your smoke, dont worry burned it out of the engine long ago.

interesting little thread about the Jet A1, should be interesting if this is confirmed and we can actually use it. Revo chip and some Jet A1 and as someone else says, the Wheels go weeeeeee.

I spoke to Audi as well, they say its just the 2.5 for 15000km, seeing that you've got a funny pump and duel filters, so can hold out longer.

It shouldn't be the oil, seeing htat they actually have no control over that...

Service at 15,000

The Audi Dealers in KZN also confirmed the 15,000 km service on the V6 TDI. I own an Allroad 2.5 TDI and when it got to 7,500km I took it in for an oil change only to be told it is not needed and the service is due only at 15,000. Serviced at 15,000 and they slapped a sticker on the b pillar stating the next service is due at 30,000 km. Same in the service book. The diesel pump in the V6 TDI is different to the high pressure pump on the new generation TDI's.
