Hi all

I got a call from a friend looking for a ABS control unit on a 98 A6 Quattro, it was a strange request because Audi has never actually had a problem with those things. On phoneing around looking for a used one i found out from a well known Used parts supplier that that is a huge problem, if had 10 used ones he would sell them in a jiffy, now, Audi wants the better part of R17 000 for such a unit. Could this not be classified as a factory problem, i mean, if all A6 Quattro's ABS systems fail resulting in a warning light peeping on ure dash, and all other Audi's ABS systems do NOT fail , then what else can it be , but a Factory line problem, do u guys agree.

Did any else had this problem ????

I once had a problem with ABS the agents could not fix. Turned out one the sender units at the hub was us. Sender and or rotor could be a lot cheaper.

ABS will not work if it appears, when driving without the brakes being applied, as though one wheel is standing still or turning slower.
