Installed it yesterday and I'm VERY impressed with it so far

Driveability has improved significantly and part throttle surging has become much less noticeable.
The sound is a little louder than stock at lower rpm. At high rpm I usually didn't hear the std DV but I can clearly hear this one wehn shifting Response is also very good!

I paid R1050 incl shipping, SARS opened it and I had to pay another R150......so it worked out to R1200

Do you have pictures of the install ?

Did you log any data to see the differences ?

You've got mail

Unfortunately I don't have a any pics or log data

Chris borrowed his VAG cable to me for a while so that I can check the car out but I returned it to him a month or so ago Wish I could afford one!

What logs would one run to see if the DV is opertaing sufficiently? 115?

I did some quick high rpm shifts today and the valve responds extremely quick with a audible quick whoosh

From the physical evaluation I did it seems like the Bailey DV opens up much more than the std Bosch unit and does it much more smoother (when I push the piston/diaphram up with my finger).

Can someone recommend some clamps that I can use to neatly tighten the pipes to the valve? I'm currently using the std hose clamps and although only the top one is visible I don't like it......looks cheap

Whay couldn't I hear the Bosch Dv operate at high rpm? I could clearly hear it al lower rpm but never at high rpm

The car still has some part throttle surging but it has been reduced significantly in 4th and 5th gear. When I installed the valve yesterday I felt that the pipe going to the wastegate can easily be moved with my hands......maybe that can also be the cause of the surging! Will tighten it down as soon as I get some time

I ordered a 90 degree spout with the Dv but got the std one so I'm still sorting that out......demon-tweeks, the supplier has been VERY helpful so far

Some more feedback.

With the Bosch Dv there was a slight drop in power just after 3000rpm which has now been completely eliminated, almost felt like a boost spike, guess the DV wasn't closing properly. Even at part throtle the DV sound is now much more "stable" and I do not get that blowing over a pipe type of sound....once again my assuption is that the valve didn' close properly at part throttle

I cannot confirm anyhting with logs but overall it seems like a VERY good upgrade. Still need to do a dyno run to see how the power/torque graphs look.

Will keep you updated. Unfortunately it will now be done with 95UL and not 97UL so the comparisson will not really be accurate
