Greetings all,

On Friday night A black TT drove past me. I looked to see what it was (Have not yet seen a 3.2) and noticed only one tail pipe.

Also nice and shiny but only the left hand one.

Thought it was maybe 'cause I was drunk (It was about midnight)

Then Saturday morning, another (Silver) drove past me. Also only one pipe.

There was no badge. Only TT on the left. No 1.8T or 3.2 etc.

Anyone ever seen this and know what engine it has? 1.8 NA maybe?

Cheers,

Crispin

The TT with one exhaust is the 132kw Front wheel drive version available oversees.

This is weird indeed?

I haven't seen one like that.

As far as I know Audi only brought in the 165kw 1.8t and now the 3.2 (all of them in quattro, roadster or coupe) with two pipes

Hi,

Got this straight from Audi's website using the "car configurator"

Looks like sh*t with one pipe.

Alex

Well it doesn look as good as the 'normal'one but you guys are forgeting the fact that this car is so popular just because in Europe they sell sh*t load of these so called basic ones with the 132kw engine sells for around R220,000 now we wouldn't consider a sports coupe with less than 150-160 kw but the reality of the matter is the car is stylish fun to drive and still very very nippy why it was never brought here no one knows.
At the above mentioned price you will find a lot of people willing to live without the second pipe......you can always cut a hole in the bumper and Bostik one for the sake of it

Does it really cost that much?

Granted, it's not the top of the range and there will / are many people who cannot afford a "normal" one and would be very happy with this. Better than a Ford

But how much does it add to the cost of the car to add the second pipe? Does it not cost more to design an exhaust, mounting etc and manufacture them than just stick with a standard?

Regadless of one or two pipes, still a fine looking car! Not every one will notice the "missing" pipe. Only picky people

Cheers,

Crispin

p.s.

I would trade my london bus for a single pipe anyday.
