as my central locking is still on the blink (motor runs but i've been told it's definitely stuffed), i contacted audi for a price on my part # : 8LO 862 257 G....audi's price is R5426.00 and Stuttgart's is R3900.00 Very steep indeed...i'm really tempted to put in a central locking system with remote for about R500 fitted by a buddy at his sound shop !! as much as I realise audi's are "premium cars" it does'nt make sense to spend that kind of dough on my car with 162K on the clock...rather get me a "17 combo deal from TSW...hahaha

I really don't think that it is worth it. You will never get that money back when you sell the car. If you buddy says that he can fit that other system and have it work just as well I would go for that second option.
