Guys, I've seen the ads for these discs in the car mag and I've now started researching them. From what I can tell they look pretty good, and the price is not that bad, considering the importance of one's braking system.
I also had a look at their site. Based on the price of their Road Sport disks it is probably worth trying them! Would be interesting to know if anybody has actual experience with these.

Agreed, the price is really reasonable. I see on the price sheet though that they only sell the front discs for most of the cars there, would it not be a wise idea to buy 2 sets of those and use a pair for the rear brakes? Will that require a caliper change?

Yes you would need a caliper change to use the same disks front and rear! I would not recommend doing that - you will have too much rear brake bias. If you upgrade the size of your brakes it is better to increase the rear and front by about the same percentage.
I think it would be OK to use Powerbrake disks in front and stock disks at the rear. Otherwise have a look ATE Powerdisk for the rear.

I'm looking at a set of front Road Sport disks from them too. Their price list only indicates stock sizes though, and I was hoping to go with bigger diametre disks. Based on what I have read on their website they will manufacturer according to clients specification. I have emailed them and await a response.

At the moment I'm just looking for a solution which does not involve upgrading the calipers. I looked at buying Porsche discs and calipers a while back, but they were prohibitively expensive and would also have required a new set of wheels.
Changing the calipers is a much bigger, more expensive project. ; (

Clive from Powerbrake phoned me back. It seems that the stock size front disk for my S6 is 314mm x 30mm, same as A8. They dont list as standard but can make me a set of Road Sport disks for approx R1000 per disk. Waiting period is 14 weeks though. They definitely seem to know what they are talking about.

Jason, in order to increase the life of your disks it is better to use new pads when you fit new disks. Old pad would have bedded into the old disks with probably many imperfections. Lets face it, disks are more expensive than pads!

After much re-thinking, I'd like to try this Powerbrake disc stuff as well. Spoke to Clive, helluva nice guy. I want to order the discs from him, and he recommends sticking to the A3's 288mm disc size.
Anyone actually fitted it and got any experience ? Looks like it'll be about R2k for the RoadSport discs and EBC Green pads.

My friend ordered the discs for his Corsa 160i Sedan as he is going through discs and pads at a pace of a set per 10 000km He is a VERY hard driver and he just wants discs that can take the punishment and not warp/fade. As soon as he fitted it I will give some reviews.
Chances are that he will now only get about 5000km on a set of pads but his discs will be ok
