Good day fellow ring-members,

I took my car for its 90k service last week, and was informed that since the next service is only due at 105k this will be the last service under the Freeway Plan. Bummer!! This actually means that Audi has a 90 000km Freeway Plan and not 100k as claimed.

The way trade-in values are going, and the fact that I cannot yet afford a S4, I opted to keep my little black demon.

Where would you honoured gentlemen/ladies suggest I take my car for its post Freeway Plan services, bearing in mind that the cambelt needs to be replaced at 120k?

That is not 100% true You are still covered until 100 000km Would've been nice to have the 105 000km service included as it is apparently a costly one

Think the cam belt is changed at major service at 75000km, might be wrong.

Correct but I think the 105 000km is also a mayor service (not cambelt but probably everything else )

I am exactly in the same situation as you, I have just completed my 75K service and covered to 86, I also cant afford a S3, and dont even try and sell your car, You will be shocked with the trade price you will get. I am to nervous to own the car without a motor plan, so will probably at the end of the month buy the extended plan to 140K. Hopefully by then a RS3 will be in my garage

Motorite Full Maintenance Plan (Hollard)

January 27 2005, 4:28 PM

Good day Fellowship of the Rings,

My S3 is currently on 91 000km. To extend my motor plan, Motorite has quoted me as follows:
to 140 000km/2yrs Full Maintenance Plan = R20,520.00
to 160 000km/3yrs Full Maintenance Plan = R31,464.00

I am still waiting for a quote from the Freeway Plan.

Do you guys think this is reasonable or are there better options out there?

Based on my experience with FWP extension quote costs - very reasonable.

Do you have contact details for Motorite ?

Motorite (JHB) 011 259 4800 or www.motorite.co.za

Audi Freeway Plan quotes:
to 130 000km = R19 774
to 150 000km = R34 062.

Thos prices are totally worth it.

Since my 50k FWP expired I've forked out in the region of 17k to get odd things sorted out. Just after the FWP expired my lambda sensor packed up, then the timing chain and chain tensioner and now the clutch is fading away...

Spend the money, it's worth it.
