I am just back from my local Audi dealer, and they have just received demo models of the new A4. All I can say is WOW !!!! The car is gorgeous. Pictures just do not do justice to the car. It is a beaut in the flesh. The definition of the lines on the car are just so classy.

Here in Hong Kong, there will be only 2 models available ie. 1.8T and the 2.0T in the S-line kit.

The sales-man was not too happy with me taking pics, but I got a few :

Pictures dont do it justice until you actually see it! From seeing it in the UK, it certainly has the DNA to make the grade, more evolution than revolution. Interior is comfy too, if not a little sombre.

I highly doubt that any dealers in GP will already have the car on the floor.

Official launch in SA is March, but my guess is that the dealerships should be receiving their stock mid-February.

BTW : Who's placed an order already ??

On another note: a friend of mine saw the A3 "sportback" (4-door) at Menlyn. Are they released yet?

i dont think it was a 4 door that ur mate saw.
i know they have a block 3.2 A3 there but its not the 4 door.

spoke to my buddy at Menlyn, he tapped into the shipping schedule for the B7's.

3 ships heading to SA.

mostly 2.0T A4's on them.

a few 2.0TDI A4's and 3.0TDI quattro A4's.

the rest is all A4 2.0T.....coz thats gonna be their big seller.

I would not be surprised if you had seen the A3 Sportback because there are some test models that could be floating around in particular PE. That is how I got to see the A8 and Toureg before their official sale. But then again it could have been a block A3 3.2.....

Anyway, I also doubt that some dealers will have stock of the new A4 mainly because it is not March yet. However, the Audi SA bigwigs will be driving the car already as I have seen them already.
