Hey.
2001 A3, 1.8T. Some very odd sounds when turning full lock with the steering (topped up the electric steering mineral oil, and that alleviated it somewhat), and a very weird mechanical sound when going over harsh bumps and/or issues in the road.
Ideas on what it could be ? I was thinking steering rack, drive shafts and/or CV joints.
I think I'm going to send the car to Audi for their 80 point check (or however many point), take the results and sort it out privately. Any idea how much this costs and how long it takes ?
