I posted on the boards a while ago about my 1995 S6 and how the Check Engine light comes on and then the car will not start for between 20 - 60 minutes. I emailed back and forth with GandolfS6 who was incredibly helpful!!

I took the car down to a shop with a computer to check the errors and it turned out to be a faulty Cam Shaft Sensor. They put a new one in and the car is running as well as ever.

So, if you ever come across somebody with an engine light on that claims the car won't start until it has sat for a while, that could be the solution.

Thanks to you all, especially GandolfS6!

Mark

Hi Mark

Glad you got it sorted out BTW for the other forum members, Mark lives in New York!

The Cam Shaft Sensor is also called the Hall Sensor, so both Shane and I (me on the second try )got that right. Did they test for boost leaks as well?

BTW, have you sorted the one on your RS2 Shane?
