Hi Club
I had the strangest behaviour from my yr. 2000, A4 1.8T this weekend, and I am hoping someone here has some ideas....
On Sunday, the left indicator flashed faster than normal, a common symptom of a fused indicator lamp. I check it out and, as expected, the left front lamp was not working. Had a look in the engine to see what is involved with replacing the lamp, and short of removing the headlight cluster, seems nearly impossible. So how does one replace the indicator lamps.??? Having achieved little, I thought I will take the car to Audi today.
Then, this morning on my way in to work, the indicator was fine. Now, I am stumped. Why would the indicators work fine today? What is happening to my Audi, why is she acting up? Dr. Phil, please help......
Andy

I had a similar problem with my S6 recently and as your problem is intermittant, I would think it is the same. It is the indicator relay that is on its way out. Mine was replaced under Freeway Plan. I haven't checked where it is on a A4 but on the S6 it was actually part of the Hazzard Switch. Take it to Audi (I don't think you would get it elsewhere) and let them try a new one to see if it is the problem.

Its the indicator relay, sits behind hazard light switch. Had mine changed last week, its a common problem know by Audi. Changed it at Audi Sandton, helped by Mr Pinto. Very helpful, and fantastic service took them half hour to do.
