Hi,

Does anyone have any new news/information on the Audi S3 / RS3. I am really anxious to hear about these two cars. I search quite frequently for information but to no avail.

New S3 rumors are apparently to have a V6 turbocharged pushing out somewhere in the lower 200KW range.

RS3 has been quiet for some time now. Original speculation from Auto Und Sport was that it would be a twin-turbo V6 pushing out 265KW with a 0-100km/h time under 5 sec.

Expect possible rumors at the Geneva Motorshow on March 3rd, where Audi is expected to be releasing the Audi RS4 MKII. I can barealy wait for the RS4 to be launched. Apparently 317KW of power!! Only 2 more weeks to go!!

Yep....I am also waiting for the RS4. 2 weeks . I have been following the articles in the international forums very very closely

S3 - As I posted a while back is also rumoured to be a 2.0T. Well I just want it to have a turbo, and Ill be a very happy camper.

I have read some wierd information in the Car UK : February addition I will just type what it says for each version:

S3/TT-s: The new S3 is running late, despite its 275bhp. It should have arrived late last year, but is now due in mid 2006. Under the bonnet lurks a bigger bore 3.6litre V6. The S version of the new TT- arriving in 2007 the earliest - runs the same engine.

RS3/TT-rs: Heres the curveball. While the S3 has six pots, the RS3 gets only four - but it has a turbo and hits 325bhp. Audi mayb warm up for the ingolstadt Evo with a 250bhp, front-drive, low pressure version of the Golf GTI Turbo.

This is the interesting one:

RS6 (although the mag has a type and says its a RS4 :
When a 500bhp M5 becomes the poor relation, you know the power war is getting silly. Merc may have a 570bhp E63 on the way, but Audi plans to trymp them all in 2006 with the 600bhp RS6 Mkii, with a biturbo FSI Version of the 5.2 litre V10.
Wow.

Another interesting part is there might be a RS8 which gets the motor from the Bentley Continental GT producing 552bhp.

Willing to sell one kidney, one arm, one leg, for a RS3 of those sort of credentials! Spose I'll be needing DSG in the light of the parts pledge though....

@ Smirnoff : Just back from Singapore. Its now midnight. Was really cool. Really refreshing change from Hong Kong. Went out a bit last night, but I guess being a Monday night, everything was DED !! Really cool place, and I got to go back........Being offline the last 2 day's, I was more concerned in missing the official launch of the RS4. Had my cousin (ShaneS2) sms'ing me the details.

Now we want the RS3

Only once these evaluations have been successfully completed and a new product introduction is imminent, are we able to confirm release details to our Dealer Network and the motoring media for national communication. However, the new S3 will only be available in right hand drive during early 2007.
