I've done some time to research the matter, and this is what I came up with:
1. Greeks are Hellenes
2. Albanians are Illyrians
3. Serbs, Croats are Slavs
4. Bulgarians are Slavs
5. Macedonians are Bulgarians, and thus Slavs
6. Bosnians are Ottomanized Slavs
7. Hungarians are Magyars
8. Turks are Turks
9. Rumanians are Thraco-Roman/Bulgarian/Gepid/Avar
Furthermore, I have found the following distinct pre-Roman nationalities:
Now, this might get a bit controversial, but it is my belief that:
1. The Epirotes were MOSTLY Illyrian with SOME Greek Hellenization, though this would not be as much as, in, say Sicily, because the colonies of Greeks were not successful.
2. The Macedonians were DISTINCT from the Greeks, but the nobility spoke Greek, much like the nobility from Russia in the 19th century spoke French.
3. Alexander the Great was Macedonian/Illyrian BUT he adopted Greek cultural traditions.
4. Cyprus was Hellenic.
In addition, I found that the Kosovars are Albanians, and had in fact always been considered as such until the formation of Yugoslavia. Even then, they maintained their cultural integrity.

Dorry to say that, but Albanians are not Illirians... Albanians are a mixture of slavs and Alani, a race that was moved from Cafcasus, to Illiria during Byzantine times.
Now about ancient Macedonians. 1st, they have no relation with the contemporry "Macedonians". 2nd, they were 100% greeks: They all spoke Greek, they had greek names, greek religion, greek myths, greek architecture... what else do we need to accept that they were greeks? All their archeologic findings are in greek!
The pseudo-state of "Macedonia" is a stupid creation of USA, just to host their HUGE millitary base over there. Tis state should be divided between Albania and Bulgarians, since almost all of the habitants belong to these two ethnicities.

The combination of different races posted above for Romanians are a huge mistake.
We are not quite a mixture of unnumbered migrations and people. Genetic test offer a better image about Romanian and those heritage:
